FADED
He entered calmly looking up sniffing, before walking along the stone floor, staring at a tripwire he had triggered all that time ago. It wasn't very long, maybe three days but it felt like years already. He pushed it with his foot and stepped back watching the arrow fly past. Faded did it again and made a weak attempt to catch the arrow.
"Are you trying to hurt yourself?" Flare asked, appearing behind him. Flare, he remembered having to help her with her injury earlier. Faded felt odd, the memory was distant as if it wasn't there yet it was. Was it real?
Had to be. There she was after all, hadn't it been Bird who had the medical training? Faded didn't know. All that sort of stuff was a weird haze for him, he hated hazes.
"No simply training my reflex. A habit I've developed. Also welcome along I guess." He greeted, trying to make a soft smile although it's not like anyone could see Faded's mouth. The mask he had found made sure of that, when had he even found it?
Why didn't anything make sense and what was with the pain in his neck, like electricity but not.
Flare looked at the arrows with a blank expression in her eyes, like she was in a chance; "Bow, arrow a bow and arrow." Faded mostly ignored her.
He turned and looked over at Anna, "analysis every part of your environment, the outcome could be fatal if you don't." He looked back over to Flare; "we might be able to find you a bow and arrow later. We're after food right now."
"You alright flare?" Asked Anna, at least he thought it was Anna. Or maybe it was the red man, wait. What?
Faded suddenly froze. He turned and stared at a wall seemingly loss in thought, he gulped. Fear. Maybe? It would be impossible for anyone else to tell, he just stood there frozen.
He somewhat saw Anna turn back to him, although that was in a sort of distant plane of existence. He could hardly hear her speak, yet he also could;m "I'll be more careful. Sorry... but you're right. We're nearing a full on food crisis. We gotta find more food quickly. Before we run out. Even with the food you gave me... it can't feed us for even a couple of days." Part of Faded wanted to acknowledge it, but he couldn't. He was drawn else where.
Anna seemed to look up at him. "Are you alright?"
Faded looked hard at a wall, swearing he could see it breathing. He reached his hand out to touch. Yet there was nothing but stone, he gulped. Faded knew that didn't make sense, he didn't know how he knew but he knew things had to make sense.
Faded turned his head to see the same red figure, he drew his fist seemingly punching the air. The figure was gone before he could hit it. Faded stood there seemingly defeated looking down a corridor sniffing it. "Hm..."
He somewhat sensed Anna flinch. Did he care? Faded felt like he did yes, but he didn't understand care. Not anymore. He knew he did once, that was what memory loss would do to you. Faded wanted to remember, he had to remember.
Yet nothing. He shook his head."I'm sorry about that, just pathetically seeing things." He stated with a shrug glaring down the hallway, Faded hadn't planned on saying pathetically it was like something else was inside him something else made him say it. "Although would you mind if we made a quick detour down here? I think I left something there and just want to make sure it's still there."
"Sure, I'm alright with anything as long as we find food. You don't have to apologise for anything." Anna answered, it did not sound genuine although who was he to judge.
The him with no memories, pathetic. Where were these thoughts even coming from, it wasn't him. Faded knew that much, perhaps it the same thing which had told him that number sequence. What was the number sequence anyway?
