I woke up rubbing the bridge of my nose trying to bring relief to the giant headache I had. The rain had let up, leaving the ground outside wet and muddy. I stepped outside groggily small puddles splashing under my feet with each step. Using my hand to block the sunlight I walked uncaringly walking onto the sidewalk and letting my eyes adjust. The new daylight covered the ground with the long shadows of the few people around me. Suddenly, gunshots rang out an all to familiar sound and I quickly turned to the noise. I saw a man throw a mask onto the ground and sprinting away and the body of a woman on the ground dead. I walked over to the body I dont know why. I stared at the mask. "If there are no heroes" I said to myself, grabbing the mask and slipping it over my face "Im gonna make one" I walked away flipping my hood up, looking for trouble.
