The Green Goblin just bombed City Hall, killing one of the board directors. And now? He's punching the shit out of you, you feel the solid part of your mask break a little. The wind kept blowing past you, you see glimpses of Iron man saving some more civilians.
But one civilian: Gwen Stacy was now falling off the skyscraper.

I thought being Spider-Woman would be easy.. enough.

I'm sorry...Gwen.

He keeps a grip on your throat as you're airborne spinning you around—until the Green Goblin suddenly gets laser beamed and flies across the sky.

You flip over for a few seconds trying to recover. You close your eyes and fly down until you hear a robotic voice as loud as a megaphone:

"Kid snap out of it! Go save Stacy!"
You blink and gain control as you web to Gwen who was flying down, fast.
Fuck
fuck
fuck
FUCK.

You make it to her on time and catch her.
She wraps her arms around your shoulders and you hear her shakily sigh as you shoot another web to another building. One of her legs wrap around your waist as you try to gather your strength, your arms tremble a little though.

You swing down to ground level carrying her, hearing some people cheering:
"Spider-Woman! Go Spider-Woman!"

——

You grunt and place her onto a somewhat secluded park. Her fingertips brush against your suit briefly. You catch your breath as she does the same looking into your mask. You feel her blue eyes on you, but you look back at the skyscraper.
The Green Goblin was out of your sight for now.

"...I thought I was going to die.."
She whispers to herself as she crosses her arms trying to calm herself down. Her chest heaves rapidly as her hair is a little messy— a couple strands out of place. As she clutched her pearl necklace, she steps closer to you slowly, and you tilt your head at her action.

What is she doing?

"You know I wouldn't let that happen."
You say with a little humor but she doesn't seem to hear you.
She grazes your forearm and with her right hand, she presses a finger to your bare skin to where your mask was torn. Her fingertip was warm against your flesh.
You wince a little and push her hand away from your arm.

"...sorry but thank you. For all you're doing for this city."
"It's.. no problem at all. Just here to help."

You say quietly as she smiles at you, her blue eyes look into yours.
"Who are you..?"
You chuckle and step back from her and her hands drop to her sides.
"Just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Woman... ma'am."

-

And you leave her there, continuing swinging webs onto a higher building. You land onto it, hoping to get some rest.
"My fucking face hurts..."
You mutter and sit back down, leaning onto a wall as your eyes shut for a moment. Opening your eyes you see a faint painting of a cop on a brick wall.
Vibrant.
That art style almost looks like Miles...
Wait.

"Jeff Davis. Rest in Power"
His dad. Aw shit he was right there all along.
You get back up and blink twice and try to get a closer look.

!
You hear something whirring and flying towards you and turn back in alarm.

Until you see it's just Iron-Man. He lands onto ground level with you, glowing eyes powering down.
"Jeez, you need a new mask."
"No kidding.."
