THE END OF THE WORLD WAS INEVITABLE. The Earth sang its song of warning, the trees fell and the breeze hardened yet no one heeded it. Not a single person listened to the Mother Earth's warning. And Mankind paid for it. We paid in blood and guts and tears and heartbreak. Yet Mother Earth kept on her unrelenting promise of demise. For we had forsaken ourselves, factories built to progress Mankind yet only pushed us further back. Roads destroying the natural Earth, knocking down trees to make way for a bigger population. Killing innocent animals for our own selfish gain. The Mother had had enough. And so a punishment was set out in place. For every tree knocked down, every animal slaughtered and every emission of dangerous gas - Mankind died.
Yet it was not in death that we were punished, much rather it was in life we were. For death, nowadays was a mercy and privilege not many were granted. In life we forgot who we were, and all that remained of us were shells. Shells of whom we used to be. Of what we did.
Mother Earth had set out for a punishment of all Mankind and only those who were strong enough would survive. Only those who were worthy would survive Mother Earths wrath.

the synopsis leans into the mother earth punishing theme due to the fact that aj is a farmer! aj has lived on a farm her whole life and is very connected to the earth and everything surrounding it i wanted to take a bit of an outside view on the apocalypse and this is what i've gone with. aj is seventeen in season 2 where we begin and she is not apocalypse material she is quite literally just a girl however she will grow and learn and become more confident as we go on! anyway please enjoy and dont be a ghost reader xoxo
