It's been a while since we went on a date. We promised each other that we would focus on our winter exams before celebrating Christmas. It was, after all, our third year of highschool. Priorities were to be made. We were no longer two young, innocent people in love. We had to make sacrifices. And I understood that. I knew it would be a while before I could hold your hand and laugh at your lame jokes.

But I still craved our youth. How just being in your presence could brighten up my day. You knew me better than I did, my habit of biting my lip when I was nervous or fiddling with my necklace when I found things awkward. You are so much more than what meets the eye.

Maybe that was one of the reasons I fell in love with you.
