Both the superheroes of Paris had not a single idea how they'd fallen this deep. No, like, literally, they were in the sewers, hiding from Daktylis-

"Come out, come out, you two. How far do you think a pathetic kitty and pesky bug can go?"

-who had followed them in.

It was terrifying. Unlike practically every other villain they'd faced for so long, this one predicted each move, each word, and each- everything. She wasn't afraid to follow after, not afraid to fall.

Ladybug panted, her back pressed against the wall as she took a deep breath.

"You alright, Chat?" She questioned her partner on the other side, sighing in response.

"No need to worry, m'lady," he called back, eyeing his empty hand. "Just... fine."

It all happened too quickly.

One minute, even after those snarky comments, Ladybug found things in common with Daktylis.

"Hawkmoth sent me, as you may already know," Daktylis informed.

At the mention of the villain, Ladybug felt a pinch of annoyance. What she thought of Daktylis, a new loyal Akuma to deal with.

"Ah, I understand that look. And I get it. Really, he's annoying."

Ladybug was wrong. Loyal? Not even close. She had a keen eye too if she'd seen the subtle scrunch of the dark-haired girl's nose at the villain's name.

Really, it was the powerless kwami but, she didn't need to know that.

The sudden change of behavior in an akumatized villain was almost refreshing. Usually, they'd be going, 'Hawkmoth told me this, Hawkmoth told me that.' The new villain wasn't like that though. Of course, it didn't mean that would get Ladybug to lower her guard.

"Can we get this over with?" Chat Noir called, feline eyes fixated upon the villain, a swirling annoyance in them.

Chat Noir didn't seem very mollified by Daktylis though. Probably because of that little comment she'd made.

"Shall we, now?" Daktylis flipped the wand around in her hands. It felt childish in her hand, wrapped around her fingers. The whole outfit was childlike and stupid. To think a world renowned designer came up with it. At this point, she just believed Gabriel had been lying the entire show. "By the way, this isn't personal." The assurance left her, calling upon the two heroes' attention as they were preparing to get into fight mode.
