The vendors polite calling, smell of grilled barbecues and fresh seafoods welcomed the girl's nose, she can't help but listen to her tummy rumbling whilst running fast and praying to not be late at the school's entrance ceremony. It's her first time after all.

Being an exchange student isn't easy, it means adapting about everything. The place, the people who live there, the cultures they have, its language and everything else.

"Ugh shit, this is tiring" She huffed as she's still running, avoiding the honking bicycles and some people who carried heavy boxes on their shoulders. She kept fixing some strands of her hair that kept sticking on her cheeks and some at the sides of her mouth.

She starts spotting some freshly baked breads, her weakness, causing her to stop for a while before running again...towards the bakery.

"Five of those Banana breads please~" she giddily said, the force is just too strong

"Are you new here?" The old man said, noticing the girl's accent when saying the word "banana bread" before carefully placing the bread in a paper bag.

"Uh, yes sir" she answered, still smelling the fresh breads there

"Take care" He said and gave the bread before staring at the young girl's uniform

"Bus leaves at 7:30 so you better hurry up or else you need to wait for another fifteen minutes before another bus arrives." He smiled while the girl smiled at him and gave a small bow before paying.

"Thank you so much, I'll keep that in mind!" She smiled widely and was touched from the old man's kindness before happily running again to reach the bus stop not very far from there.

Luckily, she made it in time before the bus arrived.

After securing a seat, she kept sighing softly, closing her eyes to feel the cold air conditioning hits her skin, drying the sweat on her forehead. She still can't believe it, she's in Korea right now after the 13hrs flight from Melbourne and four days of unpacking and settling in.

It's all too heavy to accept anything for now. She's been missing her friends and family back home, but there is something she wanted to try in Korea, she doesn't know why, but somehow, this country feels like it's calling for her.

"Oh my god, I'm heree" she whispered after getting off the bus, she still needs to walk a little more before reaching the main gate of her school.

The school isn't too prestigious, but it is a part of the greatest schools in Seoul that focuses on arts and journalism.

Seeing the main entrance of the school left her jaw dropped, the way that the trees are all aligned to the side, the students chattering and some are even running

She felt her heart thump, gripping the strap of her camera that slung on her shoulder, She just can't let this opportunity go.

Feeling the light breeze sways her skirt, she breathes slowly before adjusting her camera, making sure to capture some best shots as possible for her photo diary. She took pictures of the sun rays hitting the trees, some of the students who are making their way further inside the school, and then the cute little bird who's just flying a little and staying on the ground.

After following the bird flying off again, she spotted some hair fluttering and without thinking twice she focuses her camera and zoom it out a bit to see who's standing right there.

For a brief moment, her breath hitched as she starts clicking and taking multiple shots  of the girl. Satisfied by her shot, she started to analyze the pictures that she took but a sudden announcement got spread around the school's campus.

"The ceremony is about to start. We are calling all the students to gather up and go at the school's gym. Thank you."

Her wide smile suddenly turned into a pout, she's more excited looking for the pictures she took earlier than listening to some entrance ceremony, especially the last one where a girl is standing so calmly. At that time, she's very nervous to get caught so she didn't actually see its face and kept on clicking a lot.

"Ohh heyy girl~"

A sudden voice called her, she got startled, but more importantly, the girl's accent is what shocked her the most.

"You're new here aren't you. Also I saw the cute Australian keychain from your bag."

She blinked, this is the first time someone spoke to her in english, and the accent once more...

"Y-you're from Australia too, right?"

The girl in front of her smiled widely, her eyes are so pretty, she felt a warm and sudden comfort just by being near her.

"Whoa, you got it girl. I'm Danielle Marsh, how about you?" Again, her eyes felt like they are twinkling with excitement, and the way she  expressed the word "whoa" kinda left an impact on her

"Hanni Pham, nice to meet you" she smiled, matching the other girl's energy somehow

"Come on, save the questions for later, let's head in." She gently grabs her arm and started walking. Even her korean is cute.

After hours of listening to others talk, she thanked god for Danielle being there with her, she's the type where you will never get bored of listening even after talking a lot, she gives off a very warm and vibrant personality, just like a sunshine, Hanni thought.

"Are you good at korean already? If you don't understand some of the words don't be shy and ask them to me okay?" Hanni smiled brightly, nodding to the other girl

"What would I do without you, thank you for helping me so much today" she starts gripping the strap of her camera, thinking if she's being a bother or not to this kind person in front of her.

"Don't worry, I got you girl!" Danielle said proudly, patting Hanni on her shoulders before taking out her phone and giving it to her,

"Type in your phone number, just in case." Hanni took the phone and did what she's told, after giving it back to the girl she received a text message saying:

Hi my new aussie friend >< Let's get along well 🌻✨🙌🏻♥️

Hanni smiled once more, maybe being in a different country isn't as hard and bad as she thought.
