I heaved a sigh of relief as I plopped down on my bed letting fatigue overcome me.

After we arrived at the airport, the college van took me straight to the campus and briefed me about the university and its location.

I tried to grasp at his words but I really couldn't understand a word he was saying so I just tuned out and stared out of the window at the sprawling expanse of the college's ground, its gleaming buildings of glass and steel, its clean roads with palm trees lined by its side.

I had to admit the college was nice and I was lucky enough to get scholarship.

Not that my parents were poor but they weren't exactly well off either so having a scholarship helped as it paid for most of my tution fees.

The van dropped me infront of my dorm house, there weren't many people outside probably because everyone was in class or studying.

My dorm house building was a brick-red, double story building with windows all around it to let in as much sunshine as possible.

I entered the building and immediately a slight pungent smell of sweat, muscle and socks entered my nose.

I fought back a wave of nausea and took in my surroundings. I was in a hallway with rooms either side of the hall. At the end of the hall was a stairway leading upward.

I glanced at a piece of paper in my hand and saw that my room number was 13 on the second floor.

So I went up the stairs and landed in another hallway. I checked the numbers on the room's and found my room with no difficulty.I hadn't seen a single soul since I entered my house but it was not surprising as it were study hours.

I rotated the knob and stepped inside. There was no one in the room.

The room had 3 beds altogether, two of which were occupied and the third by the window unoccupied which I guess was mine.I stepped over the mess by the two beds, kicked off my shoes and jumped on the bed and let sleep overcome me.

It was a long flight and I was really tired.
