As I walked through the large school gate the taunting whispers began. Everywhere I turned there were people whispering about me. Pointing and staring is what I have to deal with. I actually think I'm quite pretty with jet black hair and bluish purple eyes however I don’t get teased because of my looks. I get teased because if him.
I cross the yard and jog up the stairs towards my locker which is blocked by him and his ‘groupies’. I sighed and made my way towards them, hoping they would ignore me but my luck isn’t very good.
“Hey, look who it is, the whore,” Jasmine hollered to her friends. Jasmine was head cheerleader and the biggest bitch of them all. She helped him start the rumours which ruined my life. I sighed again before stopping in front of him. The golden boy, the jock, my ex-boyfriend, Axel Kelly. There he stood in all his glory, the lying ass.
“Could you move?” I asked after standing there with him just looking at me. She cocked his head to the side and opened his mouth to say something but his words caught in his throat as I pushed him out of the way. He stumbled away from the lockers and I grabbed my lock, putting in my combo.
“Don’t touch my boyfriend again!” Jasmine screeched sounding somewhat like a dying crow. I just put my bag in my locker and got the books for my first class; English. “Don’t ignore me,” she screeched again.
I let out a sigh and started walking towards the stairs but before I even took five steps I was grabbed from behind and pushed into the wall. I gasped as pain shot up my spine and my books scattered on the floor.
“I said don’t ignore me bitch,” Jasmine cackled as she grabbed onto Axel’s waist and walked away with her friends following her. I lay there for about a minute before moving slowly across the ground to pick up my books. I headed to the nurses office and greeted Amy, the nurse. I came here just about every day so she knew me.
“Hey sweetie, Jasmine again?” she asked as she wrapped the ice in some cloth.
“Yeah, can I just go home this time? Please?” I asked as more pain shot up my spine. I heard her sigh and grab the phone. I mouthed a thank you and lay down on the bed.
“Alright, your mother said that she has to go to work so she is sending a taxi for you. Is that okay?” Amy said quietly with her hand over the receiver. I nodded and she went back to talking. I slowly got up and Amy walked me to my locker. The school grounds were silent as everybody was in class.
After I collected my things I hugged Amy and thanked her as I stepped into the taxi.
My mother’s car wasn’t in the drive way so I assumed she had already left. I grabbed my spare key out of the pot plant and unlocked the door before closing and locking it. I walked slowly up the stairs and threw my bag on my bed. Sitting on my bed I started thinking about everything that I have been through.
I was sick and tired of everyone pushing me around and calling me names because of him. Today I was lucky because nobody else was around as they were all with their friends. I need a plan to get them off my back and get them begging at my feet. I need revenge.
I jumped up, ignoring the pain, and grabbed my car keys and some money before heading to the mall. I'm going to need a whole new wardrobe for this plan to work.
Thirteen stores later and I had everything I needed. Makeup, clothes, shoes, accessories and a new haircut. I looked hott, if I do say so myself. By the time I got home it was about 4pm and I came home from school at 9:30 so that is a long time. I changed into some pyjamas after I had a shower and left my hair down to dry naturally. I took the stairs two at a time and skidded on the floor boards into the kitchen.
Mum was in there cooking dinner and I kissed her cheek before opening the fridge.
“Get out of there I'm cooking dinner. Are you alright now?” she questioned as she swatted my hand off the fridge and checked me over with her eyes.
“I'm fine mum. Don’t worry about it,” I rolled my eyes and headed towards the lounge room. I plopped down onto the single couch and changed the channel. My dad walked out on us when I was five so I don’t remember much about him but I do know that he was a loser. So my mum raised me alone and I'm happy about that.
Mum brought in our dinner and we watched TV until it was time for bed. As I lay in my bed I thought about tomorrow. I can’t wait to see the look on their faces when I walk through those gates looking like a model. They are going to get the shock of their lives and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.
