Determined to uncover the truth behind Granville's mysterious wall and the enigmatic figure known as Gargantus, Metal Man tunneled beneath the fortified barricade. As he emerged on the other side, he was met with fear and hostility from the townspeople who dared not speak to him for fear of Gargantus' wrath.

Despite their resistance, Metal Man persisted, seeking answers about the strange Neanderthal-like figure and the dark cloud that seemed to hang over the city.

"What do you want, metal intruder?" a brave townsman finally shouted, glaring at Metal Man with a mix of defiance and terror.

"I seek the truth about Gargantus and the cloud that keeps this town in fear," Metal Man replied, his voice amplified through the speakers on his mechanical suit.

"You won't find anything but trouble here. Leave us alone!" another voice called out from the crowd.

But Metal Man wouldn't be deterred. He knew he had to help these people, even if they rejected his aid. The townspeople's fear escalated, and they pelted him with cans and bottles, driving him away from their midst.

As Metal Man retreated, he stumbled upon a chilling scene—a massive statue of Gargantus being erected by the townspeople, who seemed to be under some spell, worshipping the monstrous figure. Despite Metal Man's attempts to disrupt their idolatry by destroying the statue, the people's devotion remained unshaken, as if they were entranced by an unseen force.

"This isn't right," Metal Man muttered to himself, scanning the crowd. "They can't be doing this willingly."

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Metal Man knew he had to confront Gargantus directly. He issued a challenge to the colossal Neanderthal, goading him to face him on the streets. Gargantus, eyes glowing like mirrors reflecting the sun, appeared wielding a fearsome club.

"You dare challenge Gargantus? You will pay for your insolence!" the Neanderthal roared.

"I won't let you terrorize this town any longer," Metal Man retorted.

As the two titans squared off, Metal Man noticed a thick, dark cloud looming in the sky nearby. An instinctual understanding washed over him, and he realized the truth behind Gargantus' power—the dark cloud acted as a conduit for an otherworldly force that granted the Neanderthal-like being his formidable abilities.

"Stay away from the cloud!" Metal Man warned, but Gargantus didn't listen.

Thinking quickly, Metal Man grabbed a flag and held it aloft, watching it ripple in the breeze. His scientific mind pieced together the puzzle—the dark cloud amplified Gargantus' powers, making him nearly invincible. To stand a chance against the behemoth, Metal Man needed to confront him away from the cloud's influence.

With a plan forming in his mind, Metal Man led Gargantus away from the cloud's reach, back to street level, where the two clashed in a battle of strength and strategy. Metal Man dodged Gargantus' mighty strikes, using his agility and intellect to outmaneuver the colossal foe.

"Give up, metal intruder! You can't stop Gargantus!" the Neanderthal bellowed.

But Metal Man remained steadfast. He had seen the darkness that gripped this town, and he wouldn't back down now.

As the confrontation escalated, Metal Man noticed a pattern in Gargantus' attacks—a momentary pause before launching each devastating blow. With precise timing, Metal Man exploited this weakness, countering Gargantus' attacks with powerful electrical blasts.

The battle raged on, and the people of Granville watched in awe and disbelief as Metal Man fearlessly confronted their once-revered idol. Slowly but surely, the spell over the townspeople began to break. They saw the true nature of Gargantus—the oppressive puppet of an insidious force.
