Shattered

"Once rejoice, Became together." (Chapter 10)

It was almost nighttime, the pups entered the lookout lounge below the lobby. Ryder and Carlos put their pajamas on, without realizing they have been watched by the pups.

"Aww!!" Ryder and Carlos startled themselves, the both finally realizes that they're pajamas are matching.

"Pups!" The spiked-haired boy blushes in embarrassment. They all just laughed.
"Hey, matching pajamas! I like it!" Carlos looked at Ryder, a scarlet hue was visible to the zoologist's cheeks, but not too visible.

"Huh? Oh, yea. Never knew." Ryder laughed, so as Carlos.
"Wanna watch a movie, Carl? Pups?" They all nod, picking something.

"Inside out"
"Toy Story"
"Despicable Me"
"The Secret Life of Pets"

"Calm down, everyone. Why don't we watch The Secret Life of Pets?" Ryder suggested. "Yea, I mean, it's always fun when watching that movie." Everyone agreed. "Ok, Secret Life of Pets, it is!" They played the movie.

An hour later, all the pups fell asleep, so as Carlos who's on Ryder's chest. He feels himself heating up.

He decided to put Carlos slowly onto the beanbag and goes to the lobby all the way up. Before he could go up, he turns off the screen, turning on the night light, giving them a shine so that they can't be afraid of the dark.

Ryder was now on the lookout lobby, and goes to the balcony. Looking at the stars that bright beautifully. Ryder sighed, looking at the view of Adventure Bay, it was still beautiful even at night. All the lights, quiet roads, and even winds that gushes, he feels the wind passed him.

"Ryder?" The boy with the hat looks at the balcony. Ryder suddenlt turned around and sees. "Carlos? What are you doing here?" He quickly goes to him. "I was going to ask you the same thing, Ry."

"W-well, needed fresh air, you know.. can't sleep when everybody's there." Ryder said in a calm tone.

"I see, but what are you even doing at the balcony?" Carlos asked.
"I was just looking at the view of Adventure Bay, and also stars."
"Mind if I join?" Said the boy, the spiked-haired boy nods and goes in the balcony, holding the railings of it.

"Carlos, have you ever been in love? Like relationships?" Carlos looked at Ryder, he makes a small grin. "Yes, but never in any relationship. Por qué?"

Ryder looked at the stars once again, as the boy stands there. "Is there something that you wanna tell me, Ryder?" The boy was not worried, nor concerned.

"I have this.. boy.. that I like. But I don't know if he likes me back." Ryder sighed again, making the other boy's heart started to shatter. "Wh-who is this boy that you like, R-Ryder?" Carlos shooked his head.

The boy looked at Carlos, with a small smile that forms. "You." Carlos felt his heart lightened, what does it mean?

"It's you, silly. It's just.. I'm scared, if I confess, then our friendship would tore apart like paper." The zoologist's hands holds the boy's hands, and he forms a smill grin. "Ryder, it will not tored apart." He stated, making Ryder looked at him with a confused face.

"Actually, I felt the same way as you do, Ryder. I was also scared that our friendship will no longer alive." Ryder and Carlos looked at the sky, stars collide.

"So, will you accept my offer and be my boyfriend until the end?" Ryder looked at his eyes, so does Carlos. "Just boyfriend only?" Carlos pouts, the boy chuckled. "What I mean, is that, will you accept my offer and be my boyfriend and soon, my husband until the end?" Ryder held his hands tighter.

"Of course, Ryder." Their lips pressed. Enjoying the wind's breeze, feeling their love was the only thing.

Few seconds, they broke apart, regenarating the breathe that they take.

"I love you from the depths of my heart, Carlos."
"I love you too from the bottom of my heart, Ryder."

They take another passionate kiss, even though they only broke apart, they continued doing it until their lips broke apart again.

Ryder carried Carlos towards the elevator, going down. "You don't have to carry me like that, silly. You know I have feet, means I can walk." He rolled his eyes playfully.

"Come on, I'm your knight-in-shining-armor. I can carry you whatever I want." He nuzzled the boy's shoulder.

The two are now in the lounge, sleeping peacefully. "We should sleep now, it's almost midnight." Ryder said as he laid down, so as his boyfriend, who lays down on top of Ryder. The spiked-haired boy wrapped his arms around his lover.

"So.. is that the reason you hosted a 'sleepover'?" The boy looked at his lover, he chuckled. "Chase actually made this idea." The boy laughs a bit. The zoologist instantly yawned, Ryder gives him a chuckle. "Ok, mister. Time to close those eyes." "So do you, mister." The two laughed silently and just laid down.

"Good Night, Carlos." Ryder said while taking his hat off of him.
"Good Night too, Ryder." Both of them instantly fell asleep.

But they are not aware that two certain pups looked to their sweet moments. "They are just like us, don't you think?" The pup said. "I don't know, what do you think?" He joked, they just laugh silently and went back to their sleep.
