While Erica continued to tell Eddie the story, Robin bandaged Kathleen's hand. They came to a stop in a grassy area and resumed their planning.

Kathleen sat in the grass and saw the altercation between Eddie and Dustin. They were getting ready for battle, as Eddie would say. She would chuckle at their misbehavior.

"Eddie you're not so brave, remember that time I made you cry because I locked you in a dark room." Dustin started giggling as Kathleen made fun of him. Eddie put his palm over his heart and motioned passionately to the ground.

"Princess Kathleen, your treachery will bring you to your death. How would you plead?" As he spoke, he pointed the shield her way. She rolled her eyes and then got to her feet.

"I proclaim, under contemplation, I don't give a Damn." As soon as she finished speaking, she was slung over the boy's shoulder. Dustin joined in their laughter as she laughed loud and carefree.

"Eddie, put me down." Eddie was spinning furiously as Kathleen begged him to stop. Dustin yelled some meaningless words.

After some while, Eddie set her down, and they both continued to chuckle. "you're an idiot." She commented. Eddie simply shrugged his shoulders and embraced her.

"We're going to eliminate Vecna so you can finally stop being the one who is known to have killed everyone." As she stared at her cousin, Kathleen said. The boy simply returned her smile.

"Promise me you'll always look out for Wayne, even if this doesn't go our way. Just make that promise to me." Kathleen was a little perplexed as to why Eddie was thinking that way after hearing him speak sincerely.

Eddie nodded slowly and handed her something after she stated, "Eddie we're going to do this together, we're gonna make it out of this without anyone getting hurt."

He handed her his battle vest, which she saw when she looked down. "I can't wear this, Eddie, it belongs to you." She uttered, unsure of it, until Eddie pressed it back in her direction.

"You wear it because you need it more than I do and because it will look better on you then it would on Steve." Once more, the two laughed. From a distance, Steve and Robin observed them. Steve questioned whether it was too late while Robin knew what to do.

Back in the camper van, they were all moving in the direction of the creel house. Kathleen instantly stopped Max as he tried to leave the van with Erica and Lucas.

"I need to see my little sister, so please come back to me after this is over." she begged. After receiving a hug from Max, Kathleen passionately held her before letting go.

As Steve began to lead them in the direction of the trailer park, they observed them leave. After some while, they came to a stop near the trailer park.

"Okay. I wanna run through it one more time." Nancy stated. "Phase one."

"We meet Erica at the playground." Robin responds. "She'll signal Max and Lucas when we're ready."

"Phase two."

"Max baits Vecna. He'll go after her, which'll put him in his trance." Steve said.

"Phase three?"

"Me and Eddie draw the bats away." Dustin said proudly.

"Four"

"We head into Vecna's newly bat-free lair, and..." she trailed off, holding up the bottle in her hand. "flambé."

"Nobody moves on to the next phase until we've all copied." Nancy ordered. "Nobody deviates from the plan,no matter what."

"Got it?"

"Got it."

When they got to the Munson van, Kathleen entered inside and noticed the large gate once more. She felt ill as she watched as the upside-down world utterly destroyed her house.

"Be careful."

"Here goes nothing." Steve said, began to pull himself up the rope and successfully landed upside down. It was simple, so he turned to face the ceiling with a small grin.

Clearly unimpressed by him, Robin rolled her eyes. The blonde smiled as Kathleen gave her a gentle prod. "What does he want us to do, applaud?"

Steve vanished briefly before returning with Eddie's mattress. "All right. Let's go."

They all began to pass through to the other side one by one. Robin knelt down and assisted Nancy and Kathleen through to the other side. The vines circled their trailer while Kathleen peered around the trailer. She could see her bedroom once more and felt ill.

"Hey, guys, listen." As he turned to face Dustin and Steve, who were just standing there grinning, Steve remarked. "If things here start to go south,I mean, at all, you abort. Okay? Draw the attention of the bats. Keep 'em busy for a minute or two. We'll take care of Vecna. Don't try to be cute or be a hero or something. Okay? You guys are just..."

"Decoys." Dustin shrugged and said. "Don't worry. You can be the hero, Steve."

"Absolutely. I mean, look at us." Eddie said. "We are not heroes."

Kathleen moved to Eddie after giving Dustin a deep hug. She threatened, glancing at both of them, "I'll come back and you better be standing here fine and nothing wrong with either of you."

"Go, Or else I'll start thinking you're obsessed with me." Kathleen gazed at Eddie with the same grin he always had. She was hoping they'd make it out alive.

As they started to move away from the trailers, Kathleen stepped closer to the others. When Eddie yelled out Steve's name, Eddie then moved forwards. The two saying everything they needed with their eyes. Eddie looked at him , a little grin on his face. Steve glanced at him with a puzzled expression, unsure what to do. "Make him pay." Eddie murmured as he drew away from him.
