(jade pov)

after a bit, we manage to find the introduction hall for this place and all seem to be here, I notice yang and ruby to the left of the hall, so I headed to the right of the hall and coraje seems to follow me there as well, guess he can't handle large crowds.

Ozpin: ill... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy in need you assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step. *Leaves*

glynda: *steps up to talk* you all will gather in the ballroom tonight: tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready, you are dismissed.

Well that was strange, I understand you might be tired of doing this, but you shouldn't state what you offer is pointless and won't get you far to people you're selling to, well whatever I should properly find a spot to overview the ballroom.

Jade: I'm going to change into some sleepwear and find a spot to sleep, ill save you a spot next to me.

It's now nighttime, I've manage to find an empty corner that most people seem to not notice I'm currently sitting on my sleeping bag wearing a white hoodie and long pants with my mask still on tinkering with my weapons to make sure they work perfectly.

And thanks to this spot being one that not a lot of notice I've manage to save a spot on each side where he can set up, and I seemed to be so focused on my tinkering I didn't notice someone heading my way.

???: excuse me mind if put my things here?

I look up to see none other than Weiss schnee second in line for the schnee dust company with a luggage cart filled with her luggage.

Jade: sure, go ahead, pick a side.

Weiss: thank you.

Weiss then started putting her luggage to the right of me as I continue tinkering trying to figure out ways to make it work better, to fire better, to incorporate more types dust even by the tiniest amount. I stop tinkering for a moment because I sense this time Weiss looking at me, or more accurately my weapons.

Weiss: I must say you keep your weapons well maintained.

Jade: hmm, idol hands are the Grimm plaything, or so they say.

Weiss: what are you currently trying to do?

Jade: I'm trying to figure out how to improve the power and speed behind my shots, but I can't think of what.

Weiss: what kind of dust do you use?

Jade: I use all of them earth, fire, gravity, you name it. *Holds up a bullet shell*

Weiss: no, I mean what kind of dust do you use to launch it with?

Jade: oh, just fire dust, I guess.

She sighs at my answer and went over to her stuff and grab a pencil and notebook and quickly started writing down on both sides on one of the pages before ripping it out and handing it to me.

I took it, and I was impressed to say the least, on one side there was calculation showing how much dust is in the shell I showed her and there's even a drawing of the shell and on the other side are multiple combinations between fire, lighting and gravity dust with pie charts and everything.
