Chapter 5: job accepted and new student

(y/n pov)

jade: so... mind telling me again why I'm I going in as a student?

Currently, me, pierre and Tanya are joining sis in the student ride up to beacon.

Y/n: simple, I want you acquire some friends outside of work and get some good memories.

jade: is that really needed? let's just focus on the job.

Y/n: if you do you would mostly just be stewing in anger all throughout it, so please trust me on this.

Jade: ... *sigh* fine anyway, where's ela?

Pierre: she's rapping up a few things back at base. She'll be joining us tomorrow.

Jade: oh... I see.

Y/n: *grinning* oh, I know why you're asking that.

Jade: huh?

Y/n: you miss her, don't you?

Jade: *embarrass* w-what no I don't!

Oh sis, you can try to deny all you want, but it's quite obvious you miss her.

Y/n: don't try to deny it, we all know you like her.

Tanya/pierre: he ain't wrong. / I'm pretty sure even ela knows.

Jade: *huge blushing mess* o-oh ya what about you three!?

Y/n: what about us?

Jade: Tanya is constantly by your side and pierre is constantly staring at your chest when you're done with training.

Tanya: *blush* well I am his right hand.

Pierre: *crazy blush* oh how could I not?! Seeing that perfect body like that just makes me want to chop him up and eat him!

Ahh, moments like this I enjoy the most, simply enjoying each other's company and laughing with and embarrassing one another.

???: oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to beacon with me! This is the best day ever!

???: please stop.

Well, that killed the mood. We looked over and see yang hugging ruby and talking to each other.

Yang: *releases* sorry, I'm just so proud of you!

Ruby: really, sis, it was nothing.

Yang: what do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at beacon is going to think you are the bee's knees.

Ruby: I don't want to be the "bee's knees", okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees.

Well this Is surprising, I expected yang to be here but not ruby, how did she even get into beacon? Well it doesn't make that much of a différance, the only problem this causes is with sis.

I look over to sis to see seething anger in her eyes with a thousand yard stare and her hand on top of her gun ready to pull out and shoot at them.

Y/n: remember sis you just have to deal with them for a bit then will get them all.

Jade: *slowly moves hand away* fine, ill try to be on my best behavior as best I can.

Y/n: thank you, that's all I ask you to do. Oh, and before I forget, take these.

I handed over a little something to help keep her identity a secrete.

Jade: a mask and a tattered cloak?

The mask itself was a simple design completely black except a single yellow eye and row of sharp teeth for a mouth while the cloak looks like ruby just more tattered and barely holding together.
