𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐀𝐒 getting in their daily rehearsal inside of Fred and George's room as they awaited the arrival of Harry Potter, Ron's best friend. They had been making great progress lately, and Roxie even suggested that it would be a good time to start writing some songs. Although, it was hard to get inspired, and they usually ended their sessions with empty notebooks.

Summer is too drama free, Ron thought. Couldn't they just wait until the school year? If some professor or snake monster tried to kill them again, that would actually give Ron something to write about.

They were good at the instrumental part of it– writing riffs and chord progressions that they were proud of. Lyrics were the difficult part. I mean, come on. What did three teenage boys really have to say? George and Fred would probably write about how much they love pranking Filch or how they bother Angelina Johnson on a daily basis. How was Roxie so good at it?

Roxie had been making a name for herself as wizard radio stations played her debut single, Just Like A Pill. Ron had no idea how she had written it at just fifteen years old. What could she have possibly gone through to write a song as powerful as that? He remembered Ginny playing it back at Hogwarts, explaining that the girl who wrote it was the next big thing. The metaphor was just so powerful. It was about how someone could keep running back to the person who isn't good for them, believing it would get better.

Ron always wondered if the song was about Sirius, but it couldn't have been. Roxie never 'ran back to him'.

He always considered asking her about it, but decided it would be stepping over the line.

Roxie also had written another two songs during the first month of summer. She even taught the band how to play them– she wrote every part! Drums, bass, and guitar!

She said that they could be the first two songs of their discography, but Fred and George said that the songs should be a collective band effort and that Roxie should keep the songs for herself.

Ron understood that the twins were trying to be nice, but he really wanted those songs for himself, also.

Who Knew? was even more gut–wrenching, a song Roxie wrote during her first week at the Burrow. It was so upbeat for a song about the test of time.

Roxie disguised it as a love song. The lyrics were meant to sound like the end of a relationship; the one person you believed would be by your side forever.

In reality, Roxie wrote this song about how she felt when Remus left her for Hogwarts. The one person who truly cared for her took up another job. She knew it wasn't his fault and that it was definitely on Dumbledore's orders, but it still hurt. Remus was the one who first introduced her to music. He was the one who taught her everything she knows.
