   He starts off his day like every Monday. Showering in the unbelievably cold water, brushing his teeth, and possibly eating burnt toast. His roommate, who also happens to be the Acting Grand Sage, complains of that unhealthy habit of his. Always telling him what's right or what's wrong. He understands that he's worried for him, yes, but he's tired of his nagging. Alhaitham's probably tired of his, too. Nothing to talk about other than his clients always demanding a last minute change. He wonders if Alhaitham pays attention or uses that stupid headphones of his to block out the sounds. (Specifically, Kaveh.)

Kaveh understands. He doesn't blame Alhaitham for it. Infact, he'd probably do the same if he was in Alhaitham's shoes. Telling the younger good morning before he leaves, he felt a firm, yet gentle grip on his shoulder. He turns back with a raised brow, only to realise he had almost forgotten his keys if it weren't for Alhaitham. He mumbles a small thanks and stuffs it in his pockets, walking out of the door and closing it behind him. Once he's out, the robotic suitcase in which he calls Mehrak beeps affirmatively, trying to lighten up the blond's mood. Kaveh just stares and smiles weakly, signaling for him to follow so it wouldn't get left behind.

Mehrak was his friend.

His only friend.

Meetings with countless of clients and an abnormal amount of last minute requests makes Kaveh fume with anger, as if that was new. Not a day goes by without him hearing;

' Can you add- '

' Please change the- '

and the most popular one of all.

' I think it's a bit too much. '

After they REQUESTED it. Kaveh's tired. His life feels like nothing but a cycle that repeats every 365 days. Wake up, shower, eat, work, stay up, and sleep. Approximately three to four hours. Alhaitham doesn't understand how he functions. Kaveh doesn't know either.

That's a mystery he doesn't want an answer to.

The meeting ends with him shaking hands with his client  along with a forced smile. He tells them goodbye with such a friendly attitude. Yet, his mind says the opposite and hopes they never come back. Though, of course it wasn't possible. It was just a mere thought of his that would always pop up whenever there's an inconvenience.

Lunch break. Did Kaveh pack anything? Of course he didn't. He never does, often buying coffee from a nearby convenience store. As if coffee was his only source of food and energy, he neglects his hunger most of the times. It was always the Sage who would have to persuade and tell him to eat. Otherwise, he wouldn't even bother opening the pantry. Alhaitham knows how Kaveh usually is. He's known him long enough to know his habits and coping mechanisms. He's worried. Worried that this will possibly be the downfall of his dear roommate.

To Alhaitham, Kaveh was like a toddler. He's not saying that he acts like one, no, he's just saying that if you'd pay attention to him always, nothing would happen. And if you take your eyes off for not even five seconds, something tragic happens. To him, that describes the blond perfectly well. Wanting to tell him that word by word, he'll know in the end it'll lead into an argument with Kaveh trying his best to prove that he's capable of taking care of himself. What a lie. If he was, he would've brought his own lunch, would've toasted his bread properly and wouldn't have too much caffeine in a day (and night). It wasn't rare if he finds the architect resting his head on a table with a poor posture looking like a C.

So many silly things Alhaitham would think of and describe them as his roommate. He knows how annoyed Kaveh would've been if he knew. Furious, even. Everyday, he thanks the Archons above for giving them visions and not some super powers you'd often see in shows such as telekinesis, mind reading and etc. Kaveh remembers vividly on how the two went to Fontaine and watched the magnificent play about magic (to Alhaitham, it was a bit messy but to not ruin his and his senior's day, he kept quiet).
