Erased (Satoru x Fem!Reader)

Chapter 2

As the days passed, Kayo and Satoru and been growing closer, while you were growing apart from the group. Your brother constantly sending worried looks your way when the group wasn't looking.

You truly wanted to feel happy for them, you really did, But...

Why is that so hard?

Today, Satoru would face against Hamada in a race.

You had been hanging out with the other girls recently, all s̶i̶m̶p̶i̶n̶g̶ cheering for the boy and praising as he warmed up for the event. Him looking clearly agitated at their actions.

Whistles from Mr. Yashiro could be heard as students skated around the ice. Your focus being in every possible direction as you were lost in thought as the sounds around you did nothing to snap you out of your trance.

Kayo now stood behind you gals as they continued talking.

"Satoru is going to face Hamada next!"

Misato turned around to look at the girl and tease her, "Well, Kayo, you gonna cheer your boyfriend on?"

Her words causes your grip on the snow barrier to tighten.

The others chuckle at her words as a few of the boys send Satoru smirks.

"Satoru, you got this?" Kayo asks.

He sends a smile her way, "Uh-huh, I think so."

"Good. You better not suck."

The two are now preparing the skates on the ice, Mr. Yashiro now blows the whistle that sends the two skating off.

Hamada swears as Satoru matches his speed, the two neck and neck as they stay at the same speed next to each other.

"Satoru totally jumped the gun." One of the girls says.

Kayo has a look of amazement as the two match their speeds with each other, they soon start nearing the finish line, but just as Satoru is about to win, he slows his pace that now has Hamada passing him.

The girls instantly start cheering at his win, Kayo now looking at the floor at his loss.

Satoru is panting while holding himself up by his knees, Hamada saying something to him as he grips the front of his jacket before throwing him aside as he walks away, the group now coming over to congratulate him despite his loss.

"That was super close!" Misato remarks.

"Shut up!"

However as the group talks, Kenya keeps a suspicious look on his face as he stares at the blue-haired boy.

You were walking with Mr. Yashiro around the school, he was planning to show you something about your recent assignment in the teachers lounge. But as you walked in, you two immediately noticed Satoru rummaging through the papers. The moment he tries opening the journal, Your teacher puts a hand on his shoulder causing said boy to jump.

"Hey, what ya doing there?"

"Mr. Yashiro." He nervously smiles, turning around and noticing you standing there as well, "I, uh-"

He's soon interrupted.

"Is it about Kayo?" He asks.

"I wanted to know her birthday. Sorry, sir."

Your face now looks crestfallen at his answer. You tap Yashiro to catch his attention as he now looks towards you.

"You two seem like you need to talk, I can receive the help tomorrow anyways if I come by early."

Your words cause him to smile at you, rubbing your head affectionately as he speaks.

"If you say so, just make sure to ask for some help from your brother when you get home."

You start walked off before Satoru yells to catch your attention.

"Wait!" You now focus your attention on him, "I...wanted to invite you to my birthday party. You think you'll be able to make it?" He asks, handing you a paper with his invitation.

You look at the note now, before turning back around and walking out. The paper now shoved in your pocket.

"I'll think about it." You mumble.
