"He has such pretty eyes" I say to my best friend. We are sitting in the corner of Rise and Shine cafe. Stalla is setting across from me in a booth, and we are drinking some iced sugar thing,that they call coffee. Stalla interrupts my ogol "You have had a crush on Asher since sixth grade. What do you see in him?"

" Well for starters his eyes and hair"

" No" she interrupts me again. "Not physical but his personality. What do you see in his personality? Cuz I know you're not the type of girl to date someone just off of looks."

I take a second to think about it. Asher is very handsome, but it's more. We went to elementary school together, then went to different middle, and highschools. We are both going into senior year. I am at Ocean Grove high school, and he goes to West Coast high. He plays all of the sports, and is the best in my opinion.

He has Sandy blonde hair,with light ocean blue eyes. he looks like he should be walking on the beach or surfing 24/7. I'm still thinking when Stella clears her throat. I look up and she looks at me expectedly. I am about to answer when I see some guy cross in front of the cafe window. He has faded jeans and a big hoodie sweatshirt. He has a slight resemblance to Asher. That's when I see Asher is quickly walking over to me.

" Speak of the devil" Stella says quietly under her breath. Asher comes to a stop at the table. He grabs my arm and pulls me so I'm standing up.

" What are you..." he puts his lips right up against my ear. I can feel the warmth coming off his breath.

" Just go with it" he says. That's when the guy in the head hoodie walks through the door, and comes to a stop right in front of Asher.

" Hey cuz " The guy in the hoodie says. Wait, this is Asher's cousin. I'm confused as heck as to what is going on. Asher and his cousin hug and then Asher says "I thought you were getting into town tomorrow?"

" We were supposed to,but things change."He responds. Then he shifts his body so he is more facing me and asks
" And who is this lovely young lady hanging off of Asher's arm?" He gives me a weird smirk. I am about to respond, but Asher jumps in and says
"This is my girlfriend, Lennon ''

WHAT, did I just hear that right. I'm his what? I mean I have always wanted to but I'm not. Asher lee just told his cousin that I am his girlfriend. He has one arm over my shoulder, and I am tucked into his side. No this can't be right. Ten minutes ago I was sitting at a table staring at him.Hoping he might look over, and maybe notice me."This is the girl I told you about.''Asher says

"So you are real.It is nice to finally meet you,Lennon. I'm Mason "

Mason reaches out his hand. Asher looks at me with an expectant look.I reach out my hand and shake his.His cousin takes his hand back and says "Will you excuse me I have to use the bathroom" He walks off to the bathrooms.

As soon as he is out of earshot I step back,and ask ."What the hell is going on Asher?"His smile fades ,and he looks down at me nervously.

''I am so sorry.I saw him walking through the door,and I panicked. I didn't expect them to be here today.I thought I had more time"I stare at his face as the last little bit of afternoon light shines in on his face. I have alway had a crush on him. His big beautiful blue eyes,and sandy blonde hair

"More time for what?"I ask

"Ok so about two weeks ago Mason called and said that he,Sawyer,and Delilah were coming up to California to see me."

"Ok stop right there, who is Sawyer, and delilah? "I interrupted him "Sawyer, and Mason are my cousins on my moms side. Delilah is Mason's girlfriend. Me, and Delilah used to date, Mason was worried about me seeing her again,so I lied...,and maybe said I have a new girlfriend"
Just then I see Mason returning from the bathroom I take two steps closer to Asher. I fit right against his side.He looked confused for a second, then he placed his arm where it had been before.

"Alright then" Masson says as he slowly walks over to us. " We are going to head to your house now, just stopped, because I saw you when here on snap, and I had to use the bathroom."

Mason,and Asher did one of thought bro hugs,and he left. Asher instantly dropped his arm again." I am so so sorry" he says I don't know what to do." I will tell Mason that I lied"

" No" I say
This is an opportunity. I can get him to like me.
" I will be your girlfriend"He look at me with hope,and confusion in his eyes

"I mean I will be your pretend girlfriend, Just for however long your cousins are here" His eye light up,but then dime he says "I can't ask you to do that"

"You're not asking, i'm telling you that I will do it" A huge grin starts of crosses face." I owe you big time" he says " How will I ever repay you "
" Asher there is no need to. I'm happy to"

I am just about to step into the shower when to door bell rings."Mom can you get that" I yell, but then I remember both my parents are in town running earnings.I am butt naked, but I grab my blue towel off the hook.It is probably just doordash, or something. The doorbell rings again.

"I am coming, hold on" I shout even though they most likely can't hear me. I get the towel wrapped around me,so that it won't fall off,and leave my bathroom. I walk through the hall, and down the stars.I open the door just a little so I can grab the food, but it's not doordash.Standing in front of me is Asher Lee.
