Oh shit.

Oh shit.

She did not need this right now. She just got back to Seattle again for the first time in 22 years and they told me not to fuck this up. Ugh.

She wakes up on the floor, naked, next to a man she met at the bar last night. Meredith tried to get up quickly to run to her bedroom. She got the blanket and wrapped it around her body. She grabs her clothes.

Shit he woke up.

"This...is...?", he says, while handing her bra over.

"Where are you going?", he looks confused, then he says, "Why not go another round". He smiles.

"No,no,no.No. You need to get out of here. It's my first day of work and I can't be late." Meredith says. "...look. I'm gonna go upstairs, take a shower. Then come down here and you're gonna be gone. Ok."

Meredith walked upstairs and sighs. She has no idea how to feel about this. She's not going to see him again so it's fine. This is not good. She's sad, she needs to call jackson.

—----------------------------------------------------

It's her first day as an intern. She could have ended up as a resident since she had some experience as a surgeon. In Boston she would take shifts at Mass Gen., while in med school. And they welcomed her there. She got experience, she got critiqued. They gave her an offer of starting out as a 3rd year resident, they also gave her the same offer in seattle. She didn't take it. She wanted to experience everything.

So here she was in the intern locker room with so many other interns. IT would have been less but Seattle Grace and Mercy West decided to merge since they were both running out of money. And now there are a lot more interns which means more competition.

What she didn't expect to see is Jackson Avery here. He could have chosen any hospital in the country to do his internship, she could have too but..., but he chose here. Wonder why?

Thye needed to talk later. She would have talked right now but residents started calling out the names of their interns, so she opted for eye contact and a head nod. Which he returned.

Thank god they talked earlier in the week. They knew they would both be in Seattle for their internships and residency, but they didn't know about the merger. They talked and agreed to pretend to not know each other or at least be friendly and say that they met at a conference, when they were younger since they both had doctors for their parents. Of course that was partly the reason why they knew each other. But not the full reason.

"O'Malley, Yang, Grey, Stevens, Avery, Kepner", a yell rang across the room. Pulling Meredith from her thoughts.

They all got behind their resident,The Nazi. She explained 5 rules she had then split them up.

Shit. The man she slept with worked here and was an attending. Thats fucking great.

—-----------------------------------------

Their first shift was over and she was exhausted. She made a new friend. Cristana Yang, she's dark and twisty, a perfect friend for Meredith, a dark and twisty person. She talked to Jackson for a bit, just Hi's and pretend first meetups. They agreed to meet up after her shift so they could talk, she needed someone who went through as she did with ehr. Dr. Shepherd, the man she slept with, also head of neurosurgery, kept flirting with her, even though she turned him down. Man can not take a hit, what happened between them was a one night stand.

She was so exhausted she passed out on the couch once she got home.(Her mothers house isn't really home, not anymore.) She forgot about Jackson coming over but he still got in somehow.

"Hey Mer," He says softly since she just woke up.

"Hey Jackie," She says back smiling.
