Chapter 6

Misguided

Chloe

After a while, we had decided to head to a small cafe. Derek stayed close to me. A little too close if you asked me. "I dont trust these people.." He muttered causing Simon and I to sigh. "I can hear ya, wolf boy." Andy snarled slightly. Derek grunted at her. "You talk a lot.." I saw Jesse grab Andy's wrist to keep her from charging at Derek. "I dont like him.." She grunted at Jesse, who seemed to be just as uncomfortable as we felt. "The feeling is mutual." Derek waved her off in annoyance.

I swear I could feel the tension in the air. When we reached the cafe, the girl Simon had been interested in, was sitting alone. Simon immediately started talking to her and we all sighed.

"So.. Chloe?.. Are you just normal?" Andy raised an eyebrow at me and I automatically felt intimidated. Her eyes had a certain intensity behind them. They were almost a gray shade of green which balanced off her olive colored skin and jet black hair. 'I see why Derek is freaked out by her..' I thought but sighed realizing I still hadn't answered her.

Derek spoke up before me. "Why is that so important?" He questioned coming off rather harsh. Andy didnt even waver. "Im curious.. I dont know many supernaturals." She kept her voice low but firm. Derek started to jump into an argument but I stopped him. "I'll answer.. Im a necromancer." I stated calmer than I felt. Her eyes widened slightly but she nodded. "Interesting."
Skye sat down next to her. "What's interesting?" Andy shook her head. "Nothing.." Her voice faded out as she suddenly hid underneath a table. "Andy.. What the hell-" Jessie started before she punched him. "Shut up.. Its my dad.." She whispered. We all secretly took looks to see a brunette man with hazel eyes. To be honest, they didnt look related not even in the slightest. I could hear Andy silently cursing under her breath until he left.

"Ow!" Andy groaned after she had hit her head on the table. Skye laughed. "You alright?" Andy grunted in response reaching for Jesse awkwardly. He helped her up and she stared blankly after awhile. "Let. Go."
He smirked. "You really want me to?" Andy pulled back her fist and punched him in the arm. "Idiot.." She mumbled as Jesse rubbed his arm. "Jeez.. I was joking." He mumbled. Tori laughed this time. "Alright.. Hating her less. She's got some serious guts."

Andy stared blankly. "Yep.. Hating you more."

I held in my laughter as Tori glared. "Whatever" She taunted which only caused Andy's eye to twitch. Skye kicked her feet up causing us to stare at her. "Andy, how ya been?" She smirked as her copper dimples showed. Andy sighed clearly use to the girl's ways. "Decent. Hey don't you have to get home?" Skye groaned and I assumed that was a 'yes'. "Alright, Im out.. Bye guys.. Bye Simon." She winked at the blonde before taking off. I swear I could hear Simon do the most cliche sigh in history.

"Oh Brother.." Tori groaned causing Simon to flick her off. Andy rolled her eyes at them and I noticed her eyes drifted to Derek. He stared at her, intensity seemed to increase by the second. It might have just been my weird ghost powers messing with my head again but I swore they appeared to be fighting for something through those glares.

.....

Andy

With a sigh, I trudged home unlocked my front door. "Dad?" I could hear him talking on the phone and his voice seemed to grow quieter when he noticed the front door shutting.

"Andy? Get dress." I stared at the man like he'd grown a second head. "Are we moving again..?.." I asked cautiously.

My dad laughed at me. "No. We're going to meet some friends of mine." I nearly growled at that. The last thing I wanted was social interaction with.. people. "Boring old people.. Oh joy.." I said a little bit too sarcastically causing my dad to glare. "Actually.. You go to school with the kids.." Somehow I felt like this was playing out to be like some sick twisted karma. "Fantastic.." I sighed trudging up the stairs. "Andrea." His voice boomed sternly causing me to frown. "Yes, dad?" I came down the stairs only to have him pat my head. "Try to be nice tonight. They're good people."

He smiled and I tried my best fake smile. "Alright dad.. I'll try." I then proceeded up the stairs with a heavy burden on my shoulders.

"Oh and Andrea?" I turned around meeting his eyes.

"Dont think just because we're going out I'd forgotten about you skipping school.." He smirked and I swore I saw a dark glint in his eye. I swore under my breath.

'Old man knows everything..' I thought heading to my room to change.
