𝑨𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒆•

I awaken to a heavy weight around my waist, a warm breath fanning against my neck I gaze downwards my eyes halting at a familiar tattooed arm resting on my waist. I let out a soft sigh running my hand down my face I felt Ares begin to move I looked down at him as he began to open his eyes his arms slid off my waist allowing him to stretch out. 

"Good morning" I spoke walking into the bathroom, Yawning in the process I glanced down at my watch to see it was around 3 a.m. and looked up towards the window darkness still coating the sky.

"We are leaving in a quarter of an hour." Ares spoke as he walked into the bathroom standing beside me as I brushed my hair, Of course, he picked an early flight so we could get there at a reasonable time, pulling my hair back into a tight ponytail before placing some light makeup on.

"You have freckles?" Ares questioned as he spat out his toothpaste.

"Yeah." I shrug walking into the closet and pulling down my suitcase, he hummed following me into the closet gathering some of his clothes into his arms.

"How only are we in Bali for?" I asked neatly placing clothing options and bikinis into my suitcase.

"2 weeks." I smiled, walking into the closet to find an outfit for today's flight.

Ares and I were currently on our way towards the airport, I had brought multiple books for the 14-hour flight. I watched Ares type on his laptop occasionally glancing down at his phone he must have felt my eyes on him because he stopped typing and turned his head towards me.

"What?" He grumbled 

"Are you going to be working through the vacation?" His eyebrows rose before he responded.

"Adrienne, I can't just continue to work for 2 weeks." He murmured, I nodded in agreement as I thought to myself was he going to work through the whole 2 weeks?

"I won't be working the whole time, during the evening most days, I prefer to enjoy my holiday Adrienne." I nodded as I watched out the window.

We stepped out of the car, and I watched as a few people went and grabbed our bags before I continued to follow Ares into the plane, this was going to be a long flight I glanced down at my watch it was still reasonably early so we should be in Bali around 10 pm.

"Can I get you guys anything?" The flight attendant asked rocking in her spot she seemed nervous.

"Hmm, can I get ... blackcurrant juice?" She nodded turning to Ares who dismissed her and continued typing on his laptop, I turned to the girl giving her a polite smile.

"Blackcurrant juice?" Ares asked I shrugged.

"I drink too much wine." He nodded as I got handed my glass, I grabbed one of my many books and made myself comfortable sipping on my blackcurrant juice.

We arrived in Bali shortly after 5 pm, The sun was still out as we unlocked our room and began to unpack a little before I turned to watch out the window the waves were crashing along the sandbank, I turned my gaze back to my suitcase and grabbed a bikini and made my way into the bathroom to get changed I notified Ares that I would be back shortly before making my way towards the ocean.

The water was cold, but I became more accustomed to the temperature as I went deeper. When I reached a diveable depth, I dove into the water, the cold water engulfing my body and making me shiver, but I continued to swim around the waters, letting out a relaxed sigh as the sunset.

As I stepped out of the water, I began walking back to the house where we were staying, seeing Ares typing away on the bed. As I opened the sliding door, he looked up, his jaw tightening as his eyes ran over my body, which was still extremely wet. I entered the bathroom to shower quickly, discarding my damp bikini. I stepped into the shower under the warm water and let out a hum as I began to wash my hair. 

Ares and I were currently sitting beside each other in silence as I read and as he worked occasionally I would feel him staring at me but I kept my focus on my book

"Do you enjoy reading that stuff?" Ares questioned looking over my shoulder his voice startling me I closed my book quickly.

"What no" I dragged out the O as he spoke.

"I have read the last 2 chapters, Adrienne I didn't know you liked that stuff" He smirked

"The last two chapters..." I pause "So you've read that scene" My cheeks reddened I felt his fingers graze higher up my leg.

"There is no need to read that piccola, If you want something just ask" I could hear him smirking at me I felt his fingers inching higher on my thigh making me clench my thighs together I shivered.

"Ares what are you doing?" I stumbled on my words as his fingers lingered over the lace of my pajama bottoms, he let out a low chuckle.

"here's the thing Adrienne, I'm not doing anything." I felt him move around before I felt his back to me.

That hoe.

"Goodnight Adrienne" I could hear the amusement in his voice, and my jaw tightened.

"Night," I grumbled turning the lamp beside me off.

"Are you upset" I could hear him teasing me as I desperately tried to drown out his voice.

"Shut up," I mumbled sighing as I pushed my head deeper into the pillow.

"You are." I heard him let out a breathless laugh as I turned around.

"Shut up, some people would like to sleep, Ares." I huffed yawning once again.

"Yes, ma'am" The corners of my mouth turned up as I turned my head and cuddled closer to my pillow.

"Ares?" I whispered he let out a tired hum.

"Stop breathing so loud" I heard him lightly chuckle.
