01. 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘴

Annabelle stood in her room and sighed. It was the first day of Hogwarts and she was returning to Hogwarts for her fifth year. She knew that she had spent a lot of time with Draco over the summer.

Annabelle sat on her bed and looked to the newspaper and frowned "hey" Sirius said as he stood in the doorway

"Are you going to the station with Harry?" She asked.

"Yeah. Don't worry your mum will be with you" he said as she frowned.

Annabelle had been raised to believe that Sirius was her dad but he wasn't. Annabelle didn't know the truth over that though. It was something that was kept secret from her

"Hey madam are you ready" her mother Chloe asked as she walked in

"I guess. He's going to the station with Harry as per" Annabelle said as she stood from her bed. She placed the newspaper that she was reading over Harry getting off with underage magic and through it in the fireplace

She knew how Harry was her cousin but he always treated her badly because of her being a slytherin and her choice of friends. She was friends with Draco malfoy and the others and she knew that she didn't regret being friends with him

He was her best friend in fact.

"Hey. It will be okay. You know what your dad is like" Chloe said as Annabelle looked to her and nodded

"Yeah. He cares over Harry then his own daughter" Annabelle said as she forced her trunk close and sighed

"Don't let it get to you okay. I know it's hard but it will be fine. You know that he loves you" Chloe said as Annabelle nodded. Annabelle wasn't so sure

She knew that Sirius had a hard childhood and he had always been the best dad to her but one thing that she hated was how he favoured Harry over her

Annabelle stood on the station with Chloe who pulled her into a hug and smiled "il loser you okay. Be good and try not to get in anymore trouble. You are your fathers daughter after all" Chloe said

She knew that Annabelle may not have Sirius dna but she did have his mischievous side

"Yeah" Annabelle said as Chloe looked to her daughter. She could see that she was looking at Sirius who was with Harry and sighed

"He'll be here. He'll be here to say goodbye"

"Not before Harry though" Annabelle said. Annabelle glanced to Sirius and sighed. She saw Draco as he stood on the platform with his mother and father. The two best friends smiled to each other

"Hey pup" Sirius said as he walked over to her and hugged her and smiled

"Hey dad" she said as he smiled

"Now if you have to cause any mischief snivellus is a good target. He deserves it with all that he had done" Sirius said as Chloe glared at him at the mention of his name. She knew Annabelle could never know the truth over Severus snape

"Go on your going to be late." Chloe said as Annabelle nodded

"Yeah she's right. My girl. Growing up so much" Sirius said as he kissed her forehead and smiled as he watched as she boarded the train. They stood watching as the train left as Chloe turned to face Sirius

"What?" He asked

"You know what. The last thing I want is for her to get in trouble with Severus. I can't have her find out the truth. As far as she is concerned your her father not him and Harry, she thinks that you favour him over her. You wanted to raise her as your daughter. She don't know the truth and you need to make more of an effort with her"

"I don't want her to know he is her father but I know that she is fifteen, she's getting closer to Draco and thinks he is her cousin. If she finds out the truth we know this arms she'll end up in" Sirius said as Chloe looked to him

"Severus snape is not her father" Chloe said. She refused to accept it

Annabelle got to Hogwarts as Draco looked to her and smiled "hey are you okay belle, you seem off" he said as she smiled

"I'm fine. I'm just glad to be here. Away Draco the drama of Harry Potter. I hate how he spends summer with us, with my father. I am just so tired of feeling second best to my father. I am sick of how he looks at me as if I'm scum because I'm a slytherin and I hate that he's my cousin" Annabelle

"So am I. But I'm the better cousin" Draco said as Annabelle smiled

"Your more than my cousin Draco" she said as he looked to her and smiled

Draco knew that he cared for Annabelle. She was his best friend and she was the only person that he cared for. He knew that he'd do anything for her

"It will be okay. Isn't your mum getting here soon" he asked as she nodded

"She'll be here tomorrow night. Class starts Monday. I think that she and my dad want time together which is Ew but I could use some parent free time"

"Well it's a big castle" Draco said as she smiled.

They sat in the great hall. She sat playing with her food and smiled. She glanced to the staff table

"Who's the pink toad?" Annabelle asked

"Dolores umbridge father says she's someone from the ministry all this dark lord talk. Fudge doesn't like it and isn't trusting dumbledore" Draco said

"Do you think he's back" Annabelle asked as Draco nodded

"Mother and father have been fighting it's a big manor but I know. It's not going to end well belle but no matter what I'll protect you" Draco said

Annabelle looked to him and smiled

Severus snape stood in his chambers. He was in preparing for the school year. He grabbed a student file and looked to it. It was Annabelle's, his daughter. The daughter that he had walked away from

He knew how he had watched her grow in the last four years. She was her mother. She was beautiful like her and it made hun question if she could even be his. But he had seen it in her temper.

He knew that he hated how the girl thought that Sirius black of all people was her father but he knew that he had caused this and this was how it was meant to be

Little did he know how the truth would soon be revealed and how Annabelle would be the one who ended up suffering
