CHAPTER 3

Kelsie wasn't surprised when she saw her scholarship cancellation letter the next day. She knew she had to take action, she was the laughing stock of the whole school. She didn't know how she was going to pay her school fees, the next term. She looked for for Williams but couldn't find him in the school. When the teacher had asked for his attendance, Arnold said he had followed his father for a business trip. As usual as everyone was afraid of him, No one dared ask any further questions about it. That night as Kelsie reached to put on the lights that were put off by some unidentified rascals, some one threw her down and pushed her to the chair. Only one boy she knew would want to hurt her. Had Williams started growing thugs? Who would know? She thought. She tried to fight the boy but he was too fast. " Easy lass" He hissed. He put a handkerchief over her mouth and used a rope tie her hands. The boy looked into her eyes. Kelsie recognized Kenneth Johnson from her class. The leader of Williams troublesome boys. He was looking at her, emotions pushing him " You are so pretty, I wonder why Williams would want to hurt an angel like you" Kelsie looked at him hoping he would untie her. He finally was about to untie her when Williams walked to meet them" what are you doing" Kenneth stood up and collected an ointment from Williams, Kelsie was alarmed, did they want to kill her? "Kelsie, just be calm" He dipped his hand into the ointment and gently rubbed it in her eyes. Kelsie later woke up in the manager's office, she didn't remember how she had got there. She stood up, a little dizzy and tried to open the door. It was locked from outside. Kelsie tried and tried but to no avail. Finally, the door opened and the manager walked in. Kelsie tried to run but the man caught her waist and dragged her to him " really? Be calm!" He commanded " what did you come to steal?"

Kelsie looked at him with anger" I don't even know how I got here, wait don't tell me you....."

The manager wasn't listening "well, that's something we will check now" He slid his hand to her jeans pocket and removed a pad of cash notes. " Really ? I guess now you would tell me the money flew from my office cabinets to your pocket. You know being poor is no reason to steal. I didn't even believe you would ever do such -" Kelsie was shocked " I did not steal any money!"

" You are so pretty, I believed pretty girls don't steal,but you just showed me you girls do just that, I asked you out that day, you told me you couldn't date a married man but you can steal from a married man. You know what, You're fired!"

Kelsie was horrified " I was set up, Mr Plumber, I promise to....."

" I SAID GET OUT !!!!!!"

Kelsie picked her bag and went to the door " With your unemployment status, you might need this" The man said, handing her the money he found in her pocket. Crying, Kelsie took it and ran home.

William smiled as he walked down the hallway, Kelsie hadn't been to school for two days. Oddly, he had missed her, the troubled look on her face when he and his guys had troubled her , the anger and fear in her eyes when he mocked her ; it was in her face he first saw anger and fear marry together at the same time. Most of all, the frown in Arnold's face when he mocked her. He had seen her last two nights. And something hung in his throat anytime he made her suffer the consequences of making him angry. He was never at ease when he caused her to cry. He would want to kill himself than to see her cry ; but he would never be proud if he wasn't done tormenting her, then he saw her walking towards him in her usual small,beautiful, perfectly fit.

" William!!!!!!" Kelsie's voice erupted through the hall and everyone turned to watch as she ran to meet him.

William pretended to be angry " what are you -" Everyone gasped as Kelsie grasped his shirt's front collar. They were for sure this girl was nuts, always doing what no one did to bullies. William was angry now, looking into her eyes with a deadly look, everyone thought Kelsie was done with but Kelsie wasn't intimidated.

" Who do you think you are to do this, well you've removed my scholarship caused me and my mother to be sacked; how does that help you. You are just an accursed soul seeking a beneficiary! I HATE YOU SO MUCH!"

William just stood, taken aback." What do you think this does in your life" She released him and put her hand in his shirt pocket removing the Grey card" WHAT?!!!! WHAT?!!" William and the rest watched in horror as she raised the card and tore it into pieces and threw into the trash. William was so angry, he wanted to say something,but she cut him off when she slapped him hard on the cheek . William fell to the ground as blood dropped from his mouth. People started screaming as Kelsie walked over him.

" Stop her Ken, stop her and torture her" William told Kenneth. Kenneth ran after her and when he caught her she turned him and punched him in the stomach " I hate you all!" She ran out.

Arnold sat remembering what had happened at school today, it was clear his little sister and brother wouldn't sleep tonight until he told them what made him so nervous. " OK, it is Kelsie, I am just afraid for "

The twins looked at him " Is it that one that got William's demon card?"

" Yep"

Michelle giggled " I told you you got a crush on her, you didn't just believe me"

Maybe, he did have a crush on Kelsie. He blushed " I said I DON'T !!!"

" You do!" The twins laughed

Arnold joined them " OK, Just understand, I like her a little. But i don't have a crush on her" He couldn't wait for the drama that had began today to continue tomorrow , it was really keeping him on suspense to see William's angry face as he looked at Kelsie.

" So why are you afraid of her?" Micheal asked

" Because she slapped William today"

The twins gaped at him in horror. That was bad indeed.
