Abhimaan's POV

It's been almost a month, and that fool Kabir hasn't come home. Every time I call, he's either in court, "in a meeting," or just plain "busy." But not today.

Today, I gave Amrita one mission—bring that monkey back home, somehow.

Kabir's POV

"Baby, where are you taking me? And why am I blindfolded?" he asked, gripping Amrita's hand as if his life depended on it.

"Shh, Kabir! It's a secret," she whispered, guiding him carefully and making him sit on the couch. "And don't you dare peek."

She went upstairs to call Abhimaan.

A moment later, she came back with him, giggling, and untied the blindfold.

"Surprise—"

Crash.

The sound of glass breaking. Rooh froze, eyes wide. Her face turned pale. Kabir's jaw dropped open at the same time.

A long silence.

Abhimaan blinked, confused.

And before anyone could process anything, Rooh bolted out of the room, and Amrita ran after her in panic.

"What the hell just happened?" Abhimaan asked, frowning.

Kabir just pointed upstairs. "Ask your tiny wife."

"You tell me, giraffe," Abhimaan muttered, elbowing him playfully.

Kabir exhaled, gave him a glare, then finally spilled the full story—about the anniversary surprise, the black lingerie, and how he, Kabir, ended up in Rooh's decorated room instead of Amrita's.

Abhimaan stared at him for three full seconds—before bursting into uncontrollable laughter. He literally collapsed on the floor, clutching his stomach.

"You're serious? That's why Rooh's been hiding from you? Oh my God—" he wheezed between laughs. "I was wondering how my innocent Rooh could suddenly turn into this bold lioness... Poor Kabir!"

Kabir's cheeks were burning red. "Do you even understand the level of trauma? She ran like she saw a ghost, bro!"

"I wish I was there to see your face," Abhimaan teased, laughing harder. "I swear, I'd have framed it."

"Kamina kahin ka!" Kabir smacked him on the head.

"Relax, yaar. I'll talk to Rooh. Nothing to worry about," Abhimaan said, trying to control his laughter.

Just then, Rooh came down the stairs slowly. Her head low, hands fidgeting.

"No need, Maan," she said softly.

She walked up to Kabir and hugged him from the side. "Kabir bhai... I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have reacted like that. I was just shocked. And embarrassed."

Kabir chuckled and ruffled her hair like an older brother. "Chill, tiny creature. Happens. But for real... those laddoos were amazing. I almost forgave you the moment I tasted them."

Everyone laughed. Dinner was loud and full of teasing. They watched movies, shared jokes, and just felt like a family again.

Later that night, Abhimaan and Rooh were curled up in bed.

"I love you," she whispered, her voice sleepy and soft.

He smiled, wrapped his arms around her, and buried his face in her neck. "I know," he replied, as if it were the most natural truth in the world.

And it was.
