Lucas's POV

Today is a very exciting day.

It's our little sister Demi's first day of 7th grade.

Marcus and I went to the store and got all of her school supplies.

When we got back, we went into Demi's room.

She was still sleeping.

"Demi, wake up. It's your first day of school." - Marcus

She already had her clothes on.

"I kinda feel sick." - Demi

Then she laid back down.

"You feel sick?" - Steve

"I don't know if I believe that. Get ready. We're leaving in about 30 minutes." - Me

*20 minutes later*

Demi still hadn't come out yet.

"Dang, what's taking Demi so long? She should already be out." - Me

"Maybe you should go check up on her. Make sure she's good. She did say she felt sick. Maybe she's telling the truth." - Marcus

"Yeah, probably." - Me

Steve and I went into the house, and we started looking everywhere for Demi.

Nowhere to be found.

Until we searched mine and Marcus's room.

The bathroom door was closed.

"Demi, you in here?" - Me

"Yeah." - Demi

"What're you doing in there?" - Marcus

"I kind of feel sick. I already told you that." - Demi

"Are y- sick in what way?" - Me

"Kind of feel like I'm going to throw up or something." - Demi

"Demi, you're gonna be late. What do you wanna do?" - Marcus

"You think I could skip?" - Demi

"Did you already throw up?" - Me

"No." - Demi

"Do you still feel nauseous right now?" - Steve

"Yes!" - Demi

"Bro, call mom real quick. I'm coming in." - Me

As I was walking in, I heard Demi cough and gag.

"You good?" - Me

"No..." - Demi

"You should probably just help her, Marcus." - Steve

"She's throwing up!" - Marcus

"She's throwing up? Alright, hang on, Marcus. Yo, I feel bad for her." - Me

I got my phone and I called my parents.

"Hi, Lucas." - Mom

"Hey, mom. Demi's throwing up. What do you want us to do? Should we take her to school?" - Me

"No, I don't think you should take her to school if she is vomiting. You should just wait to see if she feels better. It could be food poisoning or it could be some kind of virus. Just keep her home and see if she has a fever." - Mom

"Alright, thanks, mom." - Me

I went back into the bedroom.

"Marcus." - Me

"What's up? What did mom say?" - Marcus

"She said probably don't take her to school." - Me

"You guys can come in." - Marcus

"You sure? Demi, you ok?" - Steve

"Demi, did you eat anything bad?" - Me

"I don't think so." - Demi

"Ok, does anything hurt? Like, does your stomach hurt? Does your head hurt?" - Me

"Yeah, my stomach and head kinda hurt." - Demi

"Mom also said to see if she has a fever." - Me

"Alright. Come on, Demi. Let's get you to your room." Marcus

Marcus helped Demi to her room while I grabbed the thermometer and Tylenol.

I went into her room, and Demi was sitting on her bed.

"Alright, Demi, open up." - Me

I looked at the thermometer, and it was 101.

"Yeah, we need to keep her home. It's 101. Here's some Tylenol, Demi. Just get some rest." - Me

"Ok." - Demi

After 2 days, Demi felt a lot better.
