AURORA
Two Weeks Later
The jersey on my bed was staring me down. Megan had decided to buy a jersey for us to wear to the hockey game. Hers was Miles number and mine was Eric's number.
The 86 was a very bright white that stared right back at me. I threw on low rise baggy jeans and a white crop top. Megan walked into my room. She was wearing shorts and her jersey.
I put the jersey on over the crop top and turn to her. "Ready?" Megan mumbles a quick yes as she applies her lipstick. My hair was put into a ponytail with my curtain bangs out. I slipped on some comfortable shoes and wrapped my arm around Megan's as we walked to the hockey game.
Tons of people were there already as we made our way to our seats. They were right by the ice. I looked over the ice, noticing the imperfections in it.
"I'm so excited!" Megan hadn't been able to stop talking about this game and Miles or Eric since the night we met them. We had spotted them around campus a few times but managed to move out of sight before they saw us. We've been planning out this moment for a while.
While they were warming up on the ice, Megan wanted to yell at Miles and Eric to give us a puck and see their reactions when they realize it was us.
"Do you think they'll be shocked?" I nod in response to her question.
"We've avoided them for so long. I'm sure they'll be surprised. You even stopped going out to clubs for two weeks so they wouldn't spot you."
The players come out on the ice, circling fast around the ice. I spot the number 86 within the group of men. He moved quickly, moving the puck around with him. Miles bumped into him, laughing with him as they talked.
The crowd was loud, trying to get any of the players attention. Megan turned to me, "it's time." Megan started shouting and whooping.
"Miles Hughes!! Hughes!!" She jumps up and down. Eric's head looks around as he nudged his friend, whispering something. Miles looks around, finding us. He comes over quickly, leaning against the glass.
He lifts his helmet, waving Eric over. Eric comes quickly, taking his helmet off on the way. I walk closer to the glass. "Give me a puck, Hughes." Megan smiles at him.
Hughes turns and uses his stick to hit it over, landing it in her hands. "What about me?" I tilt my head at Eric, earning a smile from him.
Eric goes around, getting a puck and throwing it over. It lands on the floor and just as I go to pick it up, somebody already beat me to it. I look up to see a guy walking away with the puck.
My eyes go back to Eric. Eric's face turned cold as he watched the guy walk away. "It's fine." I say with a smile, putting my hand on the glass.
"I'll give you another one." His eyes meet mine as he throws another one over. I smile as it falls into my hand. He puts his hand on the other side of the glass, going to my hand.
Hughes leaves because he needs to warm up. Eric looks back, taking his hand away. "My jersey looks good on you. It's nice to see you again, pretty girl." He smiles one more time before he drifts backwards, putting his helmet on.
Megan turns to me, squealing. "You guys are electric. Meant to be. Soulmates. Twin flames? Perfect for each other-.." I interrupt her with my laugh.
"I don't think so, Meg."

When the game ends, I've learned nothing about the game other than the fact Eric must be really good and that Eric is more hot now.I know absolutely nothing about hockey.
