[REVISED ✔️]
A/N: I honestly thought
I wouldn't add Ciel but...
・・・・
[ RIMURU'S ・・ POV ]
"Oh— sorry. The names Benimaru, my sister, Shuna, and my other friends, Souei, Hakurou, Kurobee, Shion... we thought there weren't any survivors here."
Survivors, huh?
The red haired boy— no, Benimaru said, scratching his head a little, as if showing a way of him being embarrassed. It seems like they were planning on coming to our garage and make it as their temporary base in here.
But— hmph... it's not a good idea to just barge in someone's base. Then, I realised what he meant by that.
"No... survivors...?" I murmur, "Can we discuss about this then?..."
"Probably not here, since there would be a lot of robots coming here. May we come in your base for a moment?" Old man interjected— No! Hakurou (was it? Did I get it right?) interjected. He's probably a master at swordsmanship, I should take a look from him...
"Mhm, alright, I trust ya. We were about to move to somewhere, but... mm."
Me and Veldora looked at each other, then we headed out to our garage again to talk with Benimaru and his friends. Even though my brother, Veldora opposed (because he wanted to go out), we still reasoned him out.
Although... The 'reasoning' was just me dragging happily back to the garage.
・・・・
[ (UNRELIABLE) NARRATOR ・・ POV ]
As the purple haired girl, or so called Shion closed the garage door, we were able to talk with one another now.
Rimuru was playing with his hair, "So... You guys, want us to be in our team?"
"And... What your saying was... you haven't heard of any survivors, here, at all?" Rimuru asks, looking at their every move.
Benimaru and Kurobee nods, "Until we met you two, we had honestly thought this was a hazardous zone after we were at the middle of the town."
I see, I see, Rimuru thought to himself. I mean, who wouldn't after seeing an almost destroyed town by Robots? At this point, he felt lucky that he was still alive, same goes to Veldora, too.
"Ah, I understand— No, I guess get you. Looking at the town, I'm sure there isn't any survivors... except for me and Veldora."
Rimuru glances back at the garage, and he sighed. It was fortunate that he still had a reason to go back here again, and being thankful, he silently worshipped them like an Angel had descended from above.
Hm? Veldora? He? The reason why Veldora hadn't been replying or saying anything was because Rimuru told him to shut up and gave him Manga. Worked quite well, even if it was old and dirty or picked up from Veldora's drone. But If he didn't shut his mouth, (maybe) Rimuru will make necessary ways to discipline him.
"Wait— I haven't introduced myself, have I? The name is Rimuru. Rimuru Tempest. And that— over there, is Veldora, my brother." Rimuru says, and he smiled a little.
"Fufu," The pink haired girl, Shuna, chuckles, "It's alright, miss Rimuru."
...?
Rimuru wondered if he should drop a bombshell on them. But with enough confidence because Veldora was there, he said it.
"I'm a guy.."
...
The 6 looked shocked, and Shuna quickly apologised because of how she easily mistaken someone's gender.
"I- I'm sorry!" Shuna quickly apologised. Rimuru felt a little guilty too, because a pretty girl apologised to him, but, as he was about say something...
—that cheeky little bastard Veldora decided to speak.
"KUHAHAHA! It's just that my brother— hasn't cut his hair for 3 years!"
Shuna looked even more guilty.
"Oi— oi..." Rimuru was practically staring daggers at him at him now.
"Anyway... back to our topic..." Rimuru coughed, as if he tried to not remember something again.
"So... you guys want us to be in your team?" Rimuru asked, and they all nod.
They seem like people worth to be trusted anyways... But... this could be a win in our situation. I and Veldora's resources are quite little right now, anyway.
Suddenly, Shion's phone lit. A strange girl emerged from the phone, as if expecting Rimuru and the others to save the world.
We widened our eyes, is it a robot?
No, probably not.
« So these are the people that are the key to saving the world. » The girl monotonously mutters, and based on looks, she looks like Rimuru, but a shorter hair and with red eyes.
"Save the what?"
« Answer: The world. My Master— before dying, has given me a mission. He said that I must accompany the people that are the key to saving the world. And my mission had led me to you. You're the key. »
The girl explained, still no sign of emotion.
Veldora stopped reading, and he tried his best to hide his expression of excitement. As if Veldora was given a mission to destroy a city made by a Demon Lord...
Shuna spoke up, "How can we trust you? And why do you want us to save the world, couldn't it be someone else?"
Great question, Shu— Some similar thoughts were interrupted by the girl's words.
« Answer: Simple, just trust. »
"How though?"
« Answer: Trust. Because you're the key. »
...
It's pointless to argue against an artificial being, so Benimaru decided to switch the coversation.
"Uh," Benimaru looks at the girl, "What's your name?"
« Answer: I do not have one. »
Veldora, before he could even say something, Rimuru interjected.
"I can give you one!"
"HEY!"
I don't want my brother to name her Goku, or in any case... Saitama... Rimuru internally frowned.
« ...Answer: If you say so. »
"Then, how about Ciel?"
« Understood. My name is now Ciel, please call me that from now on. Now, please let me accompany you and your friends during your journey. »
"Mhm... alright." Almost all of them say, and speaking of which, they all got an AI companion, Ciel, now. A reliable one, not this narrator.
Narrator: Oi! Hey!
And later on, since Rimuru felt a little thirsty from talking with the supposedly AI and his new friends, he picked up the water bottle he boiled a while ago from preparing.
