Things that happened during the year-
Got my permit in January with help from Matt late at night in empty parking lots
My dad turned 51 in March
Avery turned 20 in April
I turned 20 in May (Matt went overboard on gifts per usual)
James turned 20 in May as well
Me, Avery, Matt, and James went on a summer vacation together
Matt turned 20 in August (I went overboard in return for my birthday got lectured after)
Started acting a bit weird once October came around and the rest of the months ahead, but as we approached Christmas he got a little weirder, but I just thought he was hiding something that he got me or something
He made me get my nails done Avery came along too honestly everyone started acting weird once December started

June 20th (Matt's POV)-
"Hey Matt you said you wanted to talk" Al said as I sat down in front of him in his office
"Yeah it's kind of really important" I say nervous
"I'm listening Matt" Al says concerned
"With your permission I want to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage" I say
"Oh" Al says surprised, but smiling
"Yeah" I say
"I give you my full permission Matt" Al says
"Really" I say
"Yes you know her better than Avery and me combined and you love each other so much so I give you my full permission to go further" Al says
"Thank you Al" I say
"Of course when are you planning on asking her" Al says
"I'm going to ask her on Christmas I already have the ring and everything, but do you think she'll say yes" I ask
"Of course she will and I know that for a fact" Al says
"I have been waiting to ask you that for months" I say
"I can tell bring it in Matt" Al says getting up to hug me
"Have you told Avery and James yet" Al says pulling away from me
"No, but I was going to tell them after this" I say
"Well I suggest you don't waste any time more time here then if Alice wonders where you are I'll stall her" Al says
"Thank you" I say leaving the room and head to Avery's room and thankfully James and her we're both in there
"Hey guys can I talk to you" I say sitting down across from them
"Of course what is it" Avery says
"Yeah we're here if you need help on something" James says
"I know which is why I wanted to tell you that I'm proposing to Alice on Christmas" I say
"OH MY GOD REALLY" Avery yells
"Yes really" I say
"That's amazing Matt" James says
"I know I just asked her father for permission and he said yes and I have the ring already" I say
"I need to see" Avery says
