*At the dining table

Turns out that his parents and Jungkook's parents know each other really well. It is unexpected for Jimin to see Jungkook at the dinner and it is more surprising for Jungkook. Their parents are catching up with each other as they haven't seen each other for so long.

On the other hand, Jimin has been keeping his gaze on his plate, playing with the food disinterestedly. Meanwhile, Jungkook's gaze never leaves Jimin's figure. He watches Jimin's every single move without Jimin realizing it.

"Oh, right. This is the first time Jungkook and Jimin meet again after fifteen years, isn't it?" Jungkook's mom, Yumi, says, gaining Jimin's attention.

"You're right! They were such a kid back then," Hyejin says as they chuckle together.

"We know each other back then when we were kids?" Jungkook asks confusedly.

"Of course!" Hyejin says. "You two were so close back then. And I'm so grateful to you for always looking out for Jimin even though you were very young too at that time," Jimin's gaze briefly meets Jungkook's and looks away immediately.

"This is not our first time tho," Jimin says boringly. "He has been the new practical lecturer in my college for almost three months now. I see him almost every day," Jimin nonchalantly says, making Jungkook freeze.

"A lecturer?" Yumi says confusedly while Jimin cluelessly nods. "You're a practical lecturer at Jimin's college, son?"

"...yes," Jungkook slowly admits while secretly glaring at Jimin.

"Wow, that's good. I didn't know you're a working man already," Hyejin says with a proud smile. "Congratulation, Jungkookie,"

"Thank you, Aunt Hyejin," Jungkook says while warily glancing at his parents but his parents just laugh it off and move to talk about other things.

They are chilling in the living room after dinner to continue catching up about life. Jimin is just there, breathing, and doesn't even know what to do because his mom forces him to be there.

Minutes after minutes, Jimin gets bored and excuses himself to the kitchen which they don't even notice since they're too caught up with their conversation. However, Jimin's leaving to the kitchen doesn't go unnoticed by Jungkook.

Taking Jimin by surprise, Jungkook suddenly drags him to the backyard. Jungkook scolds him and his expression clearly shows that he is mad. The truth is that Jungkook's parents never knew about him being a lecturer and his parents never allowed him to. He secretly pursues his study and becomes a lecturer behind his parent's backs.

The fact that Jimin has told his parents that he is a lecturer gets him fuming with annoyance. He is definitely going to have an argument with his parents because they will force him to quit. Jimin and Jungkook end up getting into an argument.

However, Jimin's sudden action makes Jungkook flabbergasted. Jimin suddenly presses his lips against Jungkook for a few seconds in the middle of the argument, making Jungkook's nag immediately stop as he looks at Jimin with his eyes widening and lips slightly parted when Jimin pulls away.

"Sorry," Jimin nonchalantly says as he keeps his gaze on Jungkook's eyes. "I'll make sure your parents won't ask you to quit, Sir,"

"Jimin-,"

"No," Jimin instinctively takes a step back when Jungkook reaches his hand out to him. "I'm sorry again, Sir. Have a good night," Jimin looks away and immediately leaves after respectfully bowing at Jungkook.

"How can his lips feel so soft..." Jungkook mutters to himself as he only watches Jimin leave. "Did something happen that makes him change?" Jungkook's lips slowly curl up into a smile as he is already looking forward to tomorrow's class.
