There has been a lot of time since the party broke, almost 2 years. Dustin Henderson went to live with Suzie, his girlfriend, in Utah after his mom's death. Lucas Sinclair followed his basketball team in Texas, it would help him build his career. Max Mayfield moved in a small town near Hawkins, forced by her mother that hated Hawkins. Mike Wheeler moved with his sister in California, it was unexpected for everyone. And lastly Will. Will Byers. He stayed in Hawkins and lived his normal life, but without his friends, his best friends, his lover.
Luckily for him it wouldn't take a long time for the group to be together again. They were so close that they understood that they couldn't live without eachother, they didn't want to.
So last year things begun to be the same again, or not. Dustin broke up with Suzie so he returned back to Hawkins and now he lives with Lucas and his family that hated his new "popular" life. Also Max's mother couldn't afford their new house so they had to come back even if her mother didn't want to. Everyone had found an excuse to return back at their homes, their real ones.
They were back to their life, everything was perfect again, but something was missing, and that something had a name, Mike Wheeler.
