Roy died in 2270, and Karissa was with him in the hospice where he died in her arms and then Karissa was placed in the United Federation of Planet Relocation Program for Post World War Three Planet Earth War Orphans in the United States.

Karissa traveled with 499 young people that were just supposed to find and start a new life on Star Base 10 and 12.

Lady Karissa brought the pictures of Roy and her with her as she traveled to Star Base 12 on June 27, 2270.

Lord Andrew Charles Howard never knew about Lady Karissa's lost love as he did not know about Lord Richard William Carey's lost love, Lady Henrietta Rose Clifford in 2270.

It took place in 2270, when Lady Henrietta Rose turned down Lord Richard William Carey's marriage proposal as he was the great-great-grandson of Lord Frederick William Howard.

Lord Richard William Carey never forgot his lost love as Lady Karissa never forgot her lost love.

Later on, Lord Clifford married his daughter to Lord Christopher Neville, the oldest son of Baron Edward Neville in 2271 and they had two children.
