Shoyo POV
When my mother, Tobio and I arrived at our little house, it was slowly getting dark. It wasn't time for sunset yet, but it was the time when rain was pouring down. So we arrived just in time, so as not to get soaking wet. Tobio asked my mother to sit down on the sofa and if she would like something to drink. I then sat down in the chair across from her, while Tobio made tea for her. She had a blank look that brought me serious concern. I looked at her and started talking, „Mom? What's wrong?" She shook her head slightly. „Is there anything, that shouldn't be wrong? My ex-husband is an old-fashioned homophobe, who spoiled the first meeting with our son in a long time. Of course, that doesn't make me jump for joy." I nodded and looked down. My Boyfriend came to us with two cups. One tea and one hot chocolate for me.
„Here" My mother smiled touchedly.
„Thank you" He nodded and I mouthed a 'thank you darling'. I looked back at my mother as Tobio sat down next to her. „I understand it, mother. It wasn't easy to accept. It's not for me either. However, I'm glad you came."

She nodded and replied: „Well, I just wanted to see my son. To be honest, I didn't want to go with your dad from begin with. I knew something was going to happen, by knowing him. I mean, he already was like that. It was clear to me that he hates vampires. But to see how he doesn't support you in your decision in love, I dont like it." Tobio had to nod and then looked at me. „I told you that I still won't leave you. It doesn't matter whether your parents like me or not.", he replied. My mother and I laughed when he said that. She looked at my boyfriend. A loving smile covered her face. „Shoyo is really lucky to have a boyfriend like you. A boyfriend who's always there. Who you can count on and always stand by you no matter what. Someone, I always wanted for my Son. Whether man or woman. It doesn't matter to me." Tobio had to smile and lowered his eyebrows a bit. „Thank you. It means a lot to me. Even though I said, I would have kept it with me anyway, but still. I appreciate it."

My heart felt warmed. It touched me to see how well my boyfriend got along with my mother. Despite the distance between us, she was very important to me. Actually, I wanted to keep her with me and not let her go anymore. Then I had an idea. „Omg, Mom. I just thought of something." She looked at me confused. Tobio too. „What is dear?", she then asked me. I couldn't help but smile broadly. „Could you imagine working at the school here instead of in our hometown? You would be closer to me and Natsu could go to the elementary school next door. We would see each other more often and can leave our live there behind us." My mother looked at me surprised but happy and nodded. „Yes. I'll think about it. It's a good idea." My heart leaped and I felt extreme joy. My boyfriend laughed at me and looked at my mother.

We talked a little more until it was late in the evening. My mother took her small bag and walked with us towards the front door. „Thank you for your kind hospitality. I really liked it." My boyfriend put his arm around my shoulders. „Of course. We hope to hear from you soon." „I left you my number. So call me for something new, okay mom?" She nodded her head and we opened the door. It has already stopped raining. „See you mom. I love you." „I love you too my dear" I stopped her briefly with a hug. „Are you okay with going home?" „I've ordered a taxi. It's fine, thanks." She was just about ready to leave when she turned back and looked at us. „Shoyo? Tobio?" My partner and I looked at her expectantly until she said fully: „You both have my blessings." We both had to smile and waved her goodbye.

Tobio closed the door while I walked to our bed and lay down. Immediately afterwards, he lay down next to me and covered us up. „Shoyo? Are you alright?" I hesitated to speak. But then I finally said: „Yes. What happened today just showed me, who I want in my life and who I don't want. And I realized that you definitely belong in to who I want. Tobio, I want to spend my life with you. Also If there are people who won't support that. I don't care because I love you." He smiled and pulled me into a kiss. A kiss full of tention. We then broke our kiss and looked deep into each other's eyes. „I want that too, Shoyo. I don't want more than that. And that's all I need. But I know that I want and need you. So let's be together forever." I nodded and we put our foreheads together.
