"By the way... Those were from Tanjiro." Said Kanao as she went to the kitchen. She placed down the Carmel Apple on the counter and walked back to the living room. She placed her bag down on the couch as she sat down.

Giyu on the other hand was surprised that he'd receive such a thing from Tanjiro. It had been a while since they've spoken.

The two met in the hospital. They both sat on a bench, waiting to hear news about their loved one. Giyu noticed that he was alone, not even his mother or siblings were there. He questioned the red-head. The boy had told him that he didn't want them to worry and that he'll contact them later.

Even though Giyu was a very non talkative person, he slowly befriended Tanjiro. The boy told him about the accident and how his father was in worse condition than he was.

At the time, Giyu wouldn't speak loud enough. After Tanjiro's injury, he had trouble understanding what Giyu was trying to tell him. After the boy had told him, Giyu tried his best to accommodate for him.

The two talked about their families. Giyu told the boy about his sister. At the time, she was in the hospital. She had Pancreatic Cancer; it was her final day...

The boy tried his best to comfort Giyu, but didn't know exactly how. In the end, Giyu ended up comforting the boy the whole night. He cried and cried after hearing the death of his father. Even if he was a stranger, he knew the feeling of losing a parent. And now, he was losing his only sister.

But of course they kept contact after their interaction. Giyu however, ended up moving to where he was now, causing him to lose contact with the boy. He was surprised to know Tanjiro had also moved. He's been busy with university that he didn't remember that they've spoken.

However, one thought that lingered in his head was how Tanjiro knew that he was associated with the Kochos...

Giyu opened the box, staring at the cinnamon rolls and cupcakes. The corner of his lips curled upward. To think Tanjiro still remembered him was heartwarming.

Kanao was currently sitting on the edge of her bed, staring at the missed calls she's received from her cousin. No way was she about to contact her. She wasn't in the right mood to talk to anyone...

She placed her phone down to the side of her. Desperately wanting to scream out in frustration, there was a part of her which would acknowledge the fact that she's weak when it comes to love. And it's slowly driving her insane.

"Hello?" Came through the phone beside her. Kanao had subconsciously made a mistake by answering her phone call. She stayed silent, hoping Aoi would hang up.

"Hear me out... I never intended to date him, it just happened randomly," Kanao's room went silent. The AC stopped at the right moment, just as if it was holding its breath.

"It doesn't matter... I'll break up with him tomorrow." She could hear some whispers in the background. Kanao could easily figure out that the voices were from Tanjiro and Inosuke.

"W-wait, don't! I'll leave you guys alone... I promise!" She furrowed her eyebrows at her cousins response. There was a sinking feeling in her, her guts was telling her not to trust her cousin.

Before she could even think about what she about to say, there was a rustling noise coming from the phone. Some yelling was heard in the background, wind blowing through the speaker. Tanjiro had snatched Aoi's phone.

"Look, just... break up with him, will you? I-I'm sure there's plenty of guys out there who-" The call ended, someone had hung up the call. She was left confused by the whole ordeal. Why would that boy do such a thing? For who knows what his reason is, but she was glad those words came from him. And yet, for some odd reason, she felt like he was a good person...
