What's the latest scoop at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?

Well, I'll tell you, dear readers, for I've scored an exclusive interview with a well-trusted, anonymous source.

Only six weeks after the finalisation of the annulment of his marriage to the Prophet's very own Eilonwy Black, Headmaster Severus Snape welcomes firstborn son with war-hero Deputy Headmistress Hermione Granger.

The babe's name has not yet been revealed to the public, though I've been told it was a small, quiet event with very few in attendance.

The parents' latest scandal concerning their long-winded and public affair have made them less popular amongst their friends and colleagues. This does not seem to bother them one bit, for they have not once backed down from being spotted together in public.

Short timeline of the affair:
-February 1999: the pair are first seen together leaving the Ministry after Snape's trial. Things are kept very hush-hush following this first appearance.
-May 1999: sources claim to have seen the two arrive together at Hogwarts first celebratory ball in honour of the end of the second war.
-September 2000: Hermione Granger is hired to take over the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts professor the following term.
-November 2000: Hermione Granger appears on the arm of Appleby Arrows' Draco Malfoy at celebratory event.
-January 2001: Snape marries Eilonwy Black, owner of the Daily Prophet
-May 2001: Trouble in paradise, Snape and Granger seen together at Hogwarts ball.
-August 2001: Granger begins awaited post at the castle.
-September 2001: Affair exposed by Headmaster's wife.
-December 2001: Rumours of Hermione Granger's pregnancy at Yule Ball.
-May 2002: Baby bump spotted at Hogwarts event
-June 2002: Hermione Granger publicly announces maternity leave from post at Hogwarts. Headmaster Snape finds replacement professor for D.A.D.A and Neville Longbottom, professor of Herbology is named interim Deputy Headmaster for the following term.
-July 2002: Eilonwy Black and Severus Snape's marriage is annulled by public law for it was never consummated and soul-binding had not taken place
-September 2002: Firstborn son of the famed pair is born.

It does seem, dear readers, that the pair has had a rather busy year, if you catch my drift.

Had this been their plan all along? To marry into the news for the attention? For the glamour? For the money?

Sources say that money is not an issue what with the winnings from the war and their official status as war heroes. An annual sum is allotted depending on their role in the defeat of 'you-know-who'. 

Furthermore, for years, there have been rumours surrounding the Headmaster's inheritance. An old law hidden behind years of bureaucratic mumbo jumbo that would permit him to inherit from his late mother's family gains. As the only remaining Prince to be known of, he would be the sole beneficiary, along with his son.
