Vlad didn't let her rest all night. If he was looking for perfection, he had achieved it. Nicoleta had never experienced anything like what he did to her. She couldn't explain it, but she didn't care. Nicoleta woke up in an empty bed. At first, she thought what happened was just a dream. She sat up and instantly regretted it. Her entire body was sore. Definitely wasn't a dream. She looked around and there was no sign of Vlad. Nicoleta slipped out of bed against her body's wishes. She slipped into her discarded panties and bra, then looked through the kitchen. There was no sign of him. She leaned on the counter and sighed. Suddenly, she noticed something sitting on the counter. She saw a red rose and a note. The rose was almost the color of blood, but was still beautiful. She read the note:

My dearest Nicoleta,

I'm sorry I left before you woke, but something came up. I had to see you before I left town. Hopefully this encounter means we are more than friends because I intend to greet you on my return in the same way.

Sincerely yours,
Vlad

Nicoleta smiled. "Damn he's hot," Nicoleta said to herself. She smelled the rose and smiled more. "And pretty charming," she added. Suddenly someone knocked on the door. Nicoleta scrambled to find her shirt and shorts. She threw her clothes on, and tried to manage her wild hair. She opened the door and was very disappointed. "Hey baby," Alexander smiled. Her ex was the last thing she wanted to see. Nicoleta saw him scan her body. "What do you want, Alex?" she asked.

"I just came to see my girl," he said walking in.

"I'm not your girl, Alex. Get out," she said.

"Don't talk like that, babe," he said.

Alex looked around the apartment. Nicoleta didn't like it. "If you have any self-respect you'll leave before I call the police," she said. Alex continued to look around. He noticed the broken glass on the balcony and the open door. "What happened here?" he asked. "I dropped a glass and forgot about it," she said. Alex looked over in the bedroom. He saw the messed up sheets. "Last time I saw your bed that messy was when I was in it," he said. Nicoleta went over and shut the door to her bedroom. "It's none of your damn business, Alex. Now get out," she barked. Alex looked at her for some time. He took in her entire being analyzing everything. Nicoleta felt uneasy. "Alright, I'll go," he said. Before he went out the door he stopped beside her. He leaned down, and Nicoleta flinched. Suddenly, he lightly kissed her lips. Nicoleta pulled away quickly and looked at him. "I still love you, Nicoleta," he said. "Well I don't love you," she glared. Alexander didn't say anything else. He left her apartment. Nicoleta wiped her mouth hating the feeling of Alex's lips. Nicoleta looked at the letter and the rose again. She smiled.

Scotty watched as the young man left Nicoleta's apartment building. He sat across the street in a black car watching the man walk down the street. Vlad had left Scotty behind to watch over Nicoleta while he was away. If anything was wrong, Scotty was to inform Vlad immediately. Scotty continued to watch the young man walk down the street. He waited a little longer and saw Nicoleta with five dogs walk down the sidewalk. Scotty decided to wait and see what this young man would do.

Vlad was standing in his hotel room when his phone rang. "Hello," he said. "Master, I have news of the girl," he said. Vlad's interest in the conversation instantly spiked. "What is the matter?" he asked.

"She's alright, Master, but," Scotty said.

"But?" Vlad asked.

"A young man has visited her the last two days," Scotty said.

"What was he doing there?" Vlad growled.

"I do not know, Master. I can assure you though that she is not sleeping with him. He arrives in the morning and leaves fifteen minutes before she leaves," Scotty informed.

Vlad nearly crushed the phone in his hand. He hung up and shoved the phone in his pocket. Vlad looked at the time. It was nearly dark. He had to leave. He needed to get back.

Nicoleta sat quietly watching TV. She was still frustrated that Alexander had come by not just the day before, but yesterday and this morning. She was seriously considering filing a restraining order. Nicoleta jumped when there was a loud banging on her door. She didn't move thinking Alex had come back and was drunk. She shut the TV off and stayed still. The person banged on the door again. "NICOLETA!" Vlad growled. She jumped up at his voice. She ran to the door and flung it open. Vlad stood in the door way and looked mad as hell. "What are you doing here?" she asked. He didn't answer. He just walked straight past her into her apartment. She saw him look around like he was searching for something. "Vlad, what's wrong?" she asked. Vlad threw off his jacket. Before Nicoleta had time to react, Vlad smashed his lips to hers. Vlad could smell another person's presence in the room. It was old, but he didn't like it. He wasn't going to let some boy take what was his.
