CELIA

"Boom!"

"I win, again." Phoebe throws the cards on the table, dancing around.

The cold air breezes past us. It was 8:27 pm. We spent most of the day inside playing games or unpacking my things.

"Wanna go to town? We haven't been out all day besides your little encounter with Mr. Love Soup." I scoff as I fold my arms, standing up.

I open the door, walking into the house with Phoebe following closely behind. "Sure. Let's walk around and then go to the bar after?" She nods quickly, running to the room.

"Wear something cute. Ooo this?" She handed me a black tube top and a mini skirt. "That's perfect!" She gives me a red leather jacket to go over it when I'm cold.

I look through her clothes, a vast variety of dresses and skirts. I hand her a red dress which she wears with black boots.

"We look..." I start my sentence, looking at us in the mirror.

"Extremely hot." Phoebe finished my sentence, grabbing my arm and pulling me outside. "Let's show this town what they were missing." She whoops and throws her hands in the air, jogging down the street. My kitten heels clicked against the concrete as I went to catch up with her.

The lights on the streets were dim, the sun was setting in the back. We go down the street looking at antique stores. "Ooh! The clothes here look cute for a short hike. Let's go hiking tomorrow." She follows me inside the store.

I find a couple pairs of spandex and a brown Columbia sweater. Phoebe quickly finds some clothes, going to the cashier. We check out and find ourselves back on the street, walking down.

"Do you see what I see?" She squints, pointing down the road. "Firefighters." A red building a couple stores down read Clearwater Fire Department. We start walking closer. "Do you think they're in there?"

"Definitely." I smile to myself as we turn to look at the building in front of us. The garages were open, a few men in there working on things.

A man walks up to us, a rag in his hands. "Can I help you?" His hair is a platinum blonde. He puts on his glasses.

"Is there a... Liam and a Maverick here today?" Phoebe smiles as she asks for them. The man nods, turning around and waving a guy over, whispering something in his ear.

"They'll be here." He walks back to one of the fire trucks, cleaning it.

Phoebe looks over at me. "Is every man here sexy?" I make a funny face at her.

"At least half these guys are 60." She rolls her eyes at what I said, looking in the station. Two men start walking through in their cargoes and black shirt. I can hear Phoebe's slight squeal in her throat.

"You were looking for us?" Liam tilts his head down to look at Phoebe with a charming smile lingering on his lips. I glance over at Mav to see him staring at me, lips parted.

Phoebe puts her arms behind her back. "Are you guys busy?" She looks back and forth between the two. Liam shakes his head with a smile.

I feel a tug on my skirt so I look over to see Mav tugging on the waistband of my skirt, pulling me closer to him. He gets low toward my face.

"You look so pretty." He whispers, his breath warm on my face. I whisper back to him slowly.

"Thank you." His touch leaves me as he smiles toward me one last time before looking over at Liam.

"So it's decided then. You'll go to the bar with us." Phoebe wraps her arm around Liam's and signals for Mav and I to follow her to the bar. We start walking down the street. As we get closer I look down towards his hand, putting my pinky around his.
