TW: BLOOD

The young Russian's purple shirt quickly stained with blood, pooling around the bullet that I put in his stomach. He dropped the gun in his hand, and quickly clutched his abdomen, crumpling to the floor with a thud.

It was a shame that he had to go the way that he did, really. He was under the influence of Kyler, who left the boy up there to die, he didn't know what was coming. He wouldn't die instantly though. He still had a chance to live, which was very generous of me.

I looked over to Violet, who was in complete and utter shock, her mouth opened slightly, her green eyes wide with fear and distress. I didn't have time to talk to her, to tell her what was going on, because once I looked back onto the stage, two more Russians had already gathered, ready to shoot.

I recognized both of them with ease, and Lena did too, looking at me with an angered stare.

Alec pushed the table to it's side as Lena pulled Violet from her chair to hide behind the table for shelter against the gunfire. I focused my aim on the man closest to me, shooting him in the chest before he got the chance to shoot me. Lena was quick to shoot the man next to him, hitting him in between the eyes, blood splattering against the walls.

"You need to get her out of here, now." Lena said, her eyes darting to Violet who had the palm of her hand against her chest in a panic. Kneeling down to her quickly, I placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, we need to go."

"No fucking shit!" She yelled at me, her voice clashing with the ongoing bullets between the other countries's men, for whatever reason. I scanned the room, searching for some sort of safe path to the closest exist, quickly realizing there weren't many.

The entrance in which we came in through was blocked by two men, which I knew was too risky while trying to protect Violet at the same time. I already knew the back door was locked due to the advanced security system to hold valuables, so our only option was to go through the kitchen.

"Dominic." She whispered, awaiting for some sort of answer.

"Once we get into the kitchen, I need you to hide behind the counter, okay?" I told her, pointing to the enclosed space in front of us. It was a good few feet away, but it was our only option.

She nodded.

Carefully, I lifted her up by the arm, and we sprinted for the kitchen. Violet did as I said, slumping against the counters as soon as we reached the kitchen. I reloaded my gun, clocking the chamber in place before shooting a man with long hair who was coming our way.

Bullets were ricocheting off of walls. Heads were smashed against tables. Glass was shattering onto the floor. Chaos was unfolding.

I hated to admit it, but it was all because of Violet. Whatever she did to the Russians, they weren't letting it go. In the time I'd met her, two people had already tried to kill her. What could she have possibly done?

I was caught off guard from my thoughts, which nearly never happened to me, especially in high pressure situations like this. The unwavering presence of a familiar man stood before me.

Kyler was here, in the kitchen, just steps away from us. He came empty handed. There wasn't any kind of people in his hands, yet. "You didn't really think I'd let you leave. Did you, Angelo?" He spoke, his thick and heavy accent weighing on his words.

Fuck my life.

I looked back to Violet, who was standing behind me now, her shoulder pressed against a wall and watching Kyler and I intently. "Run." I mouthed the words to her, and her eyes grew cold.

A quick and hard fist came to my cheek, setting me off balance. As the force of Kyler's punch rocked me, my vision blurred momentarily. I staggered, catching myself against the edge of the kitchen counter. The taste of blood filled my mouth, a bitter reminder of the situation's dire nature. I locked eyes with Kyler, my jaw clenched in both pain and determination.

Violet was already gone, leaving through the back door in a hurry.

Kyler's hand reached for my neck, but I was quicker than him. I had every advantage. Not only was I taller by a couple of inches, I was bigger than him too. I gripped onto the back of his neck, smashing his head into the counter, on a cutting board.

"You stay the fuck away from her." I demanded, pressing his forehead harder into the wood of the board. I was too busy talking to see his hand reaching for a wine glass before he flipped around, smashing the object into my temple.

As the situation escalated, the kitchen seemed to tighten around us, its walls closing in with every passing second. Kyler's rage was palpable, his breaths coming in short, angry bursts that mingled with my own labored exhales. Blood from my gashed forehead dripped onto the floor, mingling with the shattered remains of the wine glass.

"Your little slut just left you here to die, huh?" His voice carried a bitter edge as he talked about Violet. He took another hit at me, the force of his punch to my jaw was blinding. Before I knew it, his fist had been thrown into my face again, but I managed to move out of the way before it could hit me.

Spitting the mixture of spit and blood onto the floor, I grinned. "So much talk about my wife with you Koslovs, makes me wonder if you've been getting the same amount of head as I've been." I lied, getting under Kyler's skin. I knew this hit him hard since Lena shot him in the dick just a few months ago.

No off spring for him, or head, or sex. What a tragic loss.

Clearly having some sort of impact over him, Kyler lunged at me. I shifted my own weight and slammed Kyler against the opposite wall before he has the chance to touch me.

"Tell me, how was your recovery?" I whispered.

"Idi k chertu. (Go to hell.)" He spat in Russian.

Clenching my fist, uppercutting him in the jaw while pinning him against the wall. Hearing a voice coming from behind me, I refrained from any more damage. "Hey, Dom. This one's mine." Lena said, not a single scratch on her.

I watched as Kyler's eyes froze with terror, I couldn't help but laugh as I bashed the man's head against the stone wall, he was still conscious. "Tutto tuo. (All yours.)" I told her before heading out the back door to find Violet.
