Jade and her sister, Amber, moved to Forks a few weeks ago. Jade sat next to this guy in class, Edward Cullen. He seemed to never like her. She always wondered why he didn't like her. It was like he did at the same time though. She always found comfort in his glowing eyes. Jade felt as if it was a bit out of the normal to have glowing eyes like that but they were pretty. Sometimes they didn't glow though. Edward has pale skin and glowing eyes. That reminded her of vampires. Jade grew up reading myths about vampires. They were her favorite myth.
"Hey Edward," Jade finally spoke to him.
"Yeah?" Edward looked at Jade as he said something back.
Jade almost felt her heart flutter as he replied. His voice was so beautiful. Jade refused to believe she liked him. How could she like him? He doesn't even seem to like her.
"Hi," Jade said.
He lifted up his hand from the desk a bit waving. Jade didn't know what to say. She wanted to ask him if he hates her. She felt like he did due to the way he seems.
"Uh Edward.. I have a question," Jade told him.
He looked at her raising his eyebrows waiting on her to ask the question. She began to struggle with speaking. Jade felt scared. This was so embarrassing to her.
"Do you hate me?" Jade finally asked it.
"No, I have no reason to hate you," Edward replied.
"Okay.. it's just that you don't even sound like you wanna talk to me," Jade told him.
"I don't know what to say to you," Edward said as he looked at her with the beautiful glow in his eyes.
"Oh alright," Jade went silent again.
After class, she walked out. School was finally over for the day so she walked outside to Amber, her sister.
"Hey girl, how was your day?" Amber asked Jade.
"It was.. fine. It was fine," Jade replied. She was still struggling with her words even after talking to Edward.
"Doesn't sound like it was fine," Amber told Jade.
Amber always was able to read Jade like a book. Amber looked around and noticed Edward just standing there from a distance staring at Jade.
"That Edward boy," Amber said.
"What about him?" Jade asked.
"He stares at you everyday out here," Amber told Jade.
When Amber told Jade that he has been staring at her everyday since they moved to Forks, she felt her heart flutter.
"It's like he has a crush on you," Amber said with a smile.
"No, I doubt that," Jade smiled back at Amber. Amber was always the type to make those jokes.
"Yeah yeah, let's go. We should get home," Amber said.
Amber and Jade got in Amber's car and headed home.
Later that night, Jade woke up from a nightmare and felt like someone was standing over her staring at her. She tried to ignore it and went back to sleep.
The next morning, Jade put on a black crop top and some brown cargo pants. She went downstairs to her family. They were all sat on the couch.
"Goodmorning Jade! How did you sleep?" Jade's mother, Mrs. Emerson, asked Jade.
"Good," Jade replied.
She kept the response short. She always does. Jade never means to, she just doesn't have much to say, ever.
"I'm gonna..go on a walk," Jade told her family.
"Be back soon and don't get into any danger," Mr. Emerson demanded.
"I'll be back soon. I won't get in any danger dad," Jade said as she walked out the door.
While Jade was walking in the woods, enjoying the nature after last night's rain, she heard something walking behind her. She froze in her tracks when she heard something. She looked behind her and there Edward stood. Was he following her?
"What are you doing here Edward?" Jade asked him with a confusing tone.
"Don't worry about that. What are you doing?" Edward replied with a stern tone.
"I was just going on a walk. I'm guessing you were doing the same," Jade said. Her tone went calm again.
"Yeah. I was doing the same," Edward told her.
"Well how was your night?" Jade asked as he walked with her.
"It was good," Edward replied.
Jade looked in Edward's eyes and the glow was there.
"I love your eyes Edward," Jade told Edward.
"Thanks," Edward said.
One thing they had in common was how short they kept their responses. They both seemed to not talk a lot. Seemed to be quiet. Maybe she was just nervous around him.
"You remind me of a vampire, but not in a way that is bad. A good way. A beautiful vampire," Jade stated without thinking about what she was saying. When she realized what she said, she felt a pure rush of embarrassment.
"I didn't mean to say that," Jade said quickly as she looked down at the ground.
"Jade.." Edward said her name in a quiet tone.
"Yeah?" Jade looked up at him.
"I want to tell you this. I can't hide it anymore," Edward stated.
Jade was curious of what he had to say and waited for him to speak.
"I don't hate you. I couldn't hate you. You are way too beautiful, you smell amazing, you have great style, and I just don't know what to say to you," Edward confessed.
"Thanks, what are you trying to tell me?" Jade was super curious.
"Jade. I am saying I like you," Edward said as he looked into Jade's eyes. Edward got closer to Jade.
Jade gasped.
"You mean like.." Jade struggled to speak.
"Yes Jade," Edward didn't let her finish her sentence.
"Edward. I like you too. I have since I laid eyes on you," Jade confessed aswell.
