Hey everyone, I would like to take this time to introduce myself to you. My name is Larken Sawyer, I am 17-years-old, and gay. I am 5'7" with shaggy, 'Emo' style dark brown hair that is almost in my eyes, and I have blue eyes, and pale green skin. I have a lean, slightly muscular build. My family consists of myself, my two fathers - my dad Afra, and my papa Demetri, and my 15-year-old sister Laria. Dad and papa work for the government - dad is a Warrior and papa is a Scout. We live in the city of Nirad on the planet Sunev, and the year is 3052.

Laria and I attend a boarding school where we live during the nine months of the school year, and head home for any breaks we have. We attend 'Dragon Rider Academy' to become Riders. Dragon Riders can have one of four jobs - Warrior, Scout, Trainer of Dragons, or Academy Instructor. We are matched to our Dragon during our twelfth level of thirteen. This gives us two school levels to bond with our Dragons, and they come home with us for the summer, and then near the end of level thirteen, we pick our jobs. Upon graduation, we and our Dragons then depart for our jobs where we will have living accommodations for us and our Dragons, until we mate, if we choose to mate that is.

Laria is 5'2" with long blond hair, blue eyes, pale green skin, and is bisexual. Dad (a.k.a. Afra) is 37-years-old, a Warrior, around 6'2", muscular build, pale green skin, short dark brown hair, and sky blue eyes. Papa (a.k.a. Dametri) is a Scout, around 5'10", lean, muscular build, shaggy, curly brown hair, and brown eyes. They have been married for six years, and they have been together for nineteen years.

So, on with the story now. Today is move-in day to the dorms for the students, and classes start in two days. We are moving Laria in first then me because my sister requested this.

"Kids, let's move out!" dad calls from the bottom of the steps of our two level home that is in the rural part of our city.

The reason we live in a rural area is because we need space for dad and papa's Dragons. Dad's Dragon is named Javier, and papa's is named Archer. Laria and I rush down the steps with our school bag on our shoulders, and a duffel bag filled with clothing, and personal hygiene items in our hands. We meet our parents at the front door, and papa is already tearing up, and dad is rubbing his back in understanding.

"My babies are growing up way too fast," papa tearfully sniffles as we reach them at the door, and a few tears drip from his brown eyes.

"Papa, we are still your babies no matter how old we become," Laria sweetly tells him, walking over to him to kiss him on the right cheek.

"Thank you, baby," he sniffles, kissing her on the forehead with a watery smile.

"We will be home for every break to annoy you and dad," I chuckle, patting him on the arm.

Dad groans playfully while opening the door, gesturing for us to leave the house, and shuts and locks the door behind us. We settle into dad's six-person transport vehicle that is yellow with a black strip around the middle. The door is automatic, and slides open when a member of the family's palm is scanned on the pad next to the door. The flight to the school takes thirty minutes, and dad lands the transport in a free space in the parking lot, shuts off the engine, and we exit the vehicle after Laria and I grab our bags.

"Alright Laria, you are assigned to the rest quarters number 203," papa sniffles, looking at the information the academy sent him on his watch. "Your quarters are in the 'Dragon Lady' building. Larken, you are in the 'Dragons Lord' building, quarter number 105."

"Are we rooming with anyone?" Laria asks, and papa tells her that she is, but I am not as of right now.

Laria pouts at me with her arms crossed over her chest; "That is not fair! Why do you get to the room alone?"

Shrugging my free shoulder that is not carrying my bag; "I dunno, Lar. I probably will be assigned a roommate soon, so I will probably not go the year without a roommate."

"Fine," she grumbles as we enter her building, and make our way to her quarters on the second floor.

Entering the quarters with Laria in the lead, and her roommate is already here. She is lanky, around 6'1" with long, wavy brown hair and brown eyes, and dark blue skin.

"Greetings," the woman greets as we step into the room. "I am Mercy Jones from the planet Nrutas."

"Hello," we greet back with smiles before Laria introduces herself and us to her roommate.

"I am Laria Sawyer, my brother Larken, and our parents Afra and Dametri. What level are you in?"

"I am level twelve," she replies. "What are you both?"

Mercy looks between Laria and me while Laria places her two bags on her made bed before turning back around.

"I am also level twelve," I answer with a smile, hoping maybe Mercy and I will have a few Instructionals together.

"I am level ten," Laria answers with a tiny frown. "I am sorry you got stuck with someone younger."

Mercy shakes her head, telling Laria that she has no problem with having a younger roommate. We stay for a couple of more minutes before leaving her building to walk the ten feet across the purple grass to my  building, and staying on the main floor to my quarters. Laria stayed in her's to spend alone time with Mercy to start bonding. Dad and papa hugged her goodbye, and papa might have lingered with his hug a little longer than dad.

"Larken, are you gonna be okay living here alone until you are assigned a roommate?" papa nervously asks as we step into my quarters.

"I will be okay until then, papa, I promise," I try to reassure him, but he does not look convinced.

"Dametri, love, Larken will be fine," dad assures while rubbing papa's back with his right palm, and a soft kiss to his temple.

Tossing my bags on the made bed, I turn around to face my parents with a soft smile; "I love you both very much. Laria and I will be fine like we normally are while we are here. We will be home for our first break in two months. We will use the transporter here to come home as soon as classes are done, and we have grabbed our bags."

"You better be," papa sniffles, tears filling his eyes. "The moment you can come home. I want you to know that when you come home, you and your sister will be hugged tightly as soon as you appear in the house."

"Would not expect anything less, papa," I grin, letting him hug me, and give me a kiss on the forehead after brushing some of my hair off to the side.

"Bye, Sprout," dad warmly says with a grin at his nickname for me since I was born, and I playfully give him a groan.

"Bye dad," I murmur, giving him a hug.

Both my parents will miss Laria and I while we are here, but it has always been harder on papa. I think this is because he is the one who was pregnant and birthed us.
