Operation: Ides of March pt.2

Y/N's pov

I'm sitting with Meghan in the lounge area. We were talking about the mission I was about to go on.

Meghan: I just wish I was going with you.

Y/N: I wish you were too. I trust you more than I trust Thatcher. Not that I don't trust him, I just haven't gotten know him.

Meghan: I understand that.

Just then Oliver entered the room.

Oliver: Y/N, It's go time.

Meghan and I stand up.

Meghan: I'll see you soon, ok.

Y/N: Ok.

We kiss and I exit the room to get my gear.

Timeskip

We're in the helicopter heading to the base in Bolivia.

Lion: Ok, the plan is Thatcher and I will sneak around and find the generator. Once we kill the power you three go through the front while we go through the back. Got it?

Everyone: Got it.

Lion: (to the pilot) Set us down here.

Those two exit while we stay on the helicopter circling the base.

Lion's pov

We jump out of the helicopter and start sneaking around.

Thatcher: So, you have a kid right?

Lion: Yeah.

Thatcher: You see them a lot.

Lion: Hoping to go on leave to see them soon.

Thatcher: That's good.

Lion: Mhm.

We finally find the generator and Thatcher puts an EMP on it. He activates it and the lights go out. We put on our nightvision and start attacking.

Y/N's pov

I watch the lights go out and tell the pilots to land. We exit and start attacking the base. These people can't see us so we are able to make quick work. We start climbing up sniper towers and attacking them. After we finished the out side we get to the main building. We stack up at the door.

Lion: Sledge, watch the outside. Y/N, Smoke, You take the upstairs. Thatcher you're with me in the basement. Find the computer, wipe it's memory, kill the lieutenant. Let's go.

He kicks in the door and we starts cleaning out the room. Smoke and I find the stairwell and start going up. We start sweeping the rooms and looking for the computer. We find an office and kick the door down. The LT was in there so we shoot him down.

Lion's pov

Y/N: (over comms) Top floor is cleared. LT is dead.

Lion: Copy. Clearing bottom floor.

We find one last room and enter, shooting the two gaurds. We go the computer and I start wiping the memory. Once it's done we start walking out.

Lion: (over comms) All clear, computer is wiped. Let's go home.

Y/N's pov

We all enter the helicopter and we start flying away.

Timeskip

As we were flying, red lights started strobing and an alarm started blaring.

Pilot: Missle approching, prepare for evasive manuvers.

The helicopter starts moving wildly, trying to dodge the missle. We dodge it and everything seems ok.

Pilot: Missle dodged, continuing flight path.

Boom

Pilot: Fuck! There was another missle! Hold on!

We continue falling until my head gets hit on something I black out and fall but right before I do I feel a pain in the lower left of my torso.

Sledge's pov

I get up from the crash and start speaking on the comms.

Sledge: Is everyone ok? Sound off.

Thatcher: I'm all good.

Smoke: I'm good.

Lion: Leg is hurt but I think I'm ok.

Sledge: Alright what about you Vagabond?

No response.

Sledge: Vagabond?

Y/N: Help.

I go back to the helicopter and find Y/N with a metal rod poking from his abdomen.

Sledge: Oh shit! Smoke, Lion, Thatcher help!

The others come over and see him.

Lion: Oh shit.

Sledge: Let's try lifting him off of it. Smoke, help me.

We walk over grab him and try lifting.

Y/N: Ahhh! Fuck! Stop! Stop!

Sledge: We can't get it off.

Smoke: What do we do?

Thatcher: We may have to leave him. To go get help.

Lion: We can't just fucking leave him here. I'll stay. Wait for help.

Thatcher: I agree with that plan.

Sledge: It's the best we have.

Y/N: I don't care what you do! Get this fucking thing out of me!

Just then a car comes over. Three people woth guns come out. We quickly kill them. We go back and see Y/N went unconscious.

Sledge: Change clothes with them to avoid suspicion.

Timeskip

We drive to a place with helicopter, steal it and go back to base for help.

Lion's pov

I'm sitting by Y/N when he wakes up.

Y/N: O-Oliver?

Lion: Yeah, it's me.

Y/N: Where are the others?

Lion: Getting help.

Y/N: This is just amazing. When my life finally gets good this happens. Gotta a home, a job, three meals a day, and a woman to love and now... I'm gonna fucking die.

Lion: You're gonna be ok. We'll get you home.

Y/N: Lion... I don't want to die.

Lion: You won't.

After I say that more of those people show up. I have no choice but to surrender. They are somehow able to get Y/N off of the rod and start patching up. They zip tie our hands and put us in trucks. They then start driving to thier base.

Timeskip

Valkyrie's pov

Caveira: Meghan. He'll be alright.

Valkyrie: I know. We're going to get to him and he's gonna be ok.

We're on a stealth helicopter heading to the crash site. Me, Caveira, Sledge, IQ, and Doc are all in the helicopter. We touchdown and we start running to the site. We look around and don't see Lion. We look inside and see a puddle of blood. No Y/N, No Lion, Nobody. Tears start going down my cheeks when I see this.

Valkyrie: No, no! Where is he?!

Sledge: They were right here.

IQ: Do you think they're...

Valkyrie: No!

Doc: We have to go report back. Y/N and Lion are gone.

Valkyrie: No, no, no!

Cav comes up and grabs my arm.

Caveira: They're might be people to help find them. Let's go.

Timeskip

We head back to base empty handed. I stayed in my room all day and cried, knowing I may never see Y/N again.
