"So how far in the future is this exactly?" Murasaki asks the screen as texts appear.

"Around 7-9 years."

"Why so far in the future?" Medusa asks

"Yeah, I wanted to see more of young Artoria." Medea sulks. She had clothing ideas for the young saber.

"It's because the events during this part are very important." The screen starts the viewing

There seemed to be a sparkle in the reflection she saw staring into a pool of still water. The kind where it seemed as if it was the work of magic or a supernatural being.

She grinned smugly. It wouldn't be the first time that Merlin had done such a thing; though, sparkles were a first.

"Hehehe. Busted~." Merlin bonks his head as she found out.

"Well the version of you on the screen is getting closer to how you look now." Ishtar looks at Artoria.

"I think my body is at the age of 18 or 20 so it would make sense but it seems that I have more muscle there but not enough that I look masculine."

"Tch. Maybe that's why he was so attracted to you. Maybe he's into older women"

"Shirou isn't like that Ishtar. He's too dense for stuff like that." Artoria, Ishtar, and Parvati chuckle at the joke.

I'm right here you know." Emiya deadpans at them but doesn't refute the joke. He knew he was really dense at that age.

"Your supposed to hear it."

The woman didn't mind it as much, instead, growing still as her eyes stared upon the small silver locket around her neck. Raising a hand, she began to fiddle with it using her index and thumb; rubbing it gently as an absent expression made its way onto her face that only grew to become fond when the locket flipped open.

"Oh~? Is this what I think it is?" Merlin is more intrigued than ever. "Artoria being lovestruck?"

"Merlin. Be quiet." Artoria raises her sword at Merlin's neck, growling at him but the intimidation factor was lessened due to her blush of embarrassment. Merlin hastily raises his hands and nods as to appease her.

Inside was a small pressed flower and a drawing of a tiny lion cub; the one she had parted with years ago. She could still remember the efforts that that man had gone through to draw such an illustration. Even now, the drawing looked no better than a child's scratch and draw, but regardless, it was the sentiment that she cared about.

Closing the locket, she grasped it in her hand and stood silently.

She knew better than anyone that a Knight should not be wearing such decorative accessory, but it was something forged and given to her as a gift. Thus, she was obligated to wear it. However, only she knew that she was fooling herself. Her brother had often teased her about it to her dismay, yet she still wore it regardless.

Hidden beneath her blue battle dress and away from sight to save her the embarrassment.

"There is nothing embarrassing about items given to a loved one your majesty." Lancelot comments.

"Treasured items give the soldiers the determination to live in the battlefield and go home." Gawain agrees with Lancelot. He's seen it a lot with his troops. They would look at their lockets or rings before a battle and when they were dispatched, they were the most relenting of his bunch.
