Chapter 8

Maya's POV

I'm in my old room we are about to leave to are new house. It's been fore months since my car crash and Gavin is now living in a apartment. Today we are now going to move. We had to hold off moving for a little because of my incident.

"Mom can I go see Gavin before we leave?" I ask my mom.

"Yes dear but come back before 5, and be carful." my mom told me.

"Ok." I told her then I run outside and hop in my car. I start to drive to Gavin's house but I get a call from my bff Sophie. I put her on speaker phone and then start diving again.

"Hi." I said.

"Hey I'm going to sssoooo miss u." Sophie said.

"I know I'm going to miss u to." I said almost in tears.

"At least we will stay in touch!" Sophie said trying to lighten up the mood.

"Ya that's true. I have to go now bye." I said parking.

"Ok bye I'll miss u." She said and we hung up. I got out of the car and walked to Gavin's apartment. I knock on the door and after a few minutes I got impatient and grabbed the key from under the mat and unlocked the door. I walk to his bedroom and the door was cracked open and I heard a girls voice.

"Aren't u dating that girl Maya?" A blond hair girl asked twirling her hair.

"Who cares about her she leaving anyway." He said and then kissed her. I then quietly run out and lock the door again. I just sit in my car crying. I don't want to drive because of what happen last time. I pick up my phone and call Sophie.

"Hey Maya."She said. Then she heard me sobbing and got worried.

"Omg what's wrong are u sad about moving?" Sophie asked.

"G-G-Gavin's cheating on me!" I cry harder and harder. But something occurred to me. That girl looked familiar.

"Where are u?" She asked.

"At Gavin's apartment I can't drive my car." I explain still crying.

"Ok I'll ask my mom if she could drop me off I'll drive u ok?" She asked.

"O-O-k." I stuttered. Sophie came and drove me to her house.

"He's not good for u anyway don't worry he's just a jerk." Sophie would try to cheer me up by the time I culm down I for got to check what time it was.

"Shoot its 5:55 my moms going to kill me." I explain.

"U have to leave?" Sophie asked.

"Yes I'll miss u we will call each other every day I promise." I promised.

"Ok bye." We hugged and then I left.

When I got home my mother was so worried.

"Where have u been I thought my baby was hurt." my mom said hugging me tight.

"I'm sorry mom." I said.

"Why did u come home so late?" She questioned.

"Ummm.... Gavin he cheated on me." I said with a tear streaming down my cheek.

"I'm so sorry baby. Is there anything?" She asked hugging me.

"No u can't fix a broken hart." I explained. Then I got a phone call from Gavin. I just ignored it and put my phone on do not disturb.

"Oh shoot. I for got to get snacks for the trip!" My mom said flustered.

"I'll go get it mom." I offered.

"Thank u honey here's money for it." She said hand me a twenty.

At the store I went over to the snack section. I grabbed a couple of things until I heard....

"Maya!!" I turned to see Gavin.

"Why haven't u answered any of my calls" Gavin asked worried.

"Well I didn't want to bather u and your girlfriend." I said glaring at him.

"Your my girlfriend. Why are u talking like this?" he asked.

"Oh don't act like u don't know. U were with another girl and u no it." I said.

"That girl means nothing to me I want to be with u." he explained.

"OH WHAT HAPPENED TO 'who cares about here she's leaving anyway'" I said mocking him.

"IM SORRY, OK!" Gavin explained.

"Sorry won't cut it Gavin. Were through." I said lowering my voice. I walk to cash register to pay and go home.
