—————————————————————— Here I was living my dream life.
Living in Seoul, South Korea in my dream body, staring up at an add for a high-profile assignment I had recently completed.
I was dressed in a new outfit I had just recently gotten, a trendy maxi cargo skirt, strong black boots, and a black tank top layered under a ripped netted and stringy long-sleeved top. On my shoulders rested a used, gray pair of Sony headphones. Faint songs from my current hype playlist trailed from the speakers as I looked up at my add.
In excitement I squealed loudly in the crowded Seoul street and quickly stomped my feet and pumped my arms up and down. Few passerby's glanced my way as I gave another squeal.
I had finally done it! After years of studying, hard work, and networking I had not only secured a great position in a prominent, well-paying, tech company but also got to work in my dream city with a flexible schedule. It felt like I had finally made it.
I looked up at the live add again with a smile and in a spur of outgoing excitement I grabbed a passing hand and pointed up at the big screen exclaiming, "Look! I made that!" Giving the surprised stranger a big toothy smile. I meet the strangers shocked eyes and paused as my own eyes widened. He was handsome, supper handsome. His tall from and strong, wide shoulders and trim waist made my heat skip a beat. His hand was warm and dry in mine as his dark slanted eyes met mine.
He pulled his hand out of mine and I quickly released it at the same time.
"I am so sorry." I replied in Korean I glanced back at the add and with a coy smile I pointed at the screen. "Cool, yeah?" I said with raised eyebrows. "I made that."
The stranger looked up at the add then back to me.
"Yes." He replied in a strong melodic voice.
Wow he was cute.
I apologized bowed my head up and down lightly as he walked away.
I looked back at the add, a little embarrassed but, in this moment, it would take a lot more than embarrassing myself in-front of a cute stranger to ruin this moment.
With one last smile I began walking again towards my destination.
