"I THINK YOU should tell her how you feel, Jer," Elena told Jeremy as she straightened his tie. He was going to take Ellie out to a nice picnic, more than he'd done before for a first date, but this one mattered."What if she doesn't feel the same way?"
"Why did she agree to going on a date with you then, dumbass?" Damon asked sarcastically, walking into the room with a glass of bourbon in his hand, "She clearly likes you, I'm not sure why but there are worse girls to date,"
"Damon," Elena sighed in frustration.
"I said I approve," Damon argued back, taking a sip of bourbon before saying, "What did I do wrong?"
Elena ignored him, turning back to her nervous brother, "Your going to be nervous, but at least you know that it's Ellie,"
In the week she'd been here, she had made the Mystic Falls group laugh constantly, and even when Klaus passed through he had found her delightful.
"MUST WE LISTEN to this racket?" Rebekah asked as she did Ellie's makeup, "I think it's burning my brain,"
"I thought you were an original?" Ellie asked as she blinked for Rebekah to do her mascara, she had complained multiple times but had learned that Rebekah was doing her a favour - whether she wanted it or not.
"Taylor Swift isn't as good as everyone says. She's average, El,"
"Someone needs a time out," Ellie mocked, stopping herself from laughing so she wouldn't holt and ruin Rebekah's masterpiece.
"Blink," Rebekah instructed, before pulling away and letting Ellie look at the end result, "You look gorgeous. If he doesn't want you, you know where to find me,"
"Bekah, if Jeremy doesn't want me I'll want a large tub of ice cream, then I'll think about other options,"
THE FOREST WAS one of the dumbest places to hold a date in Mystic Falls, but the spot was romantic. Jeremy sat on a red and white blanket with fairy lights on the trees, illuminating the path to where he sat and the small area.
It was starting to get dark, and as Ellie walked despite the dim lighting she had to watch her step to ensure she didn't trip over any twigs in her heels.
Once she got there, she let Jeremy kiss her hand and give her a rose before she sat down. "Thank you,"
"Elena told me it would be romantic," Jeremy said awkwardly, before starting to get the food he had bought at the Grill out.
"It is," Ellie told him, putting the rose down and being careful not to prick herself on its thorns. "What's for dinner? I'm starving,"
"Fries... more fries... and burgers," Jeremy gave Ellie hers, and opened his own.
"You remembered how I like it!" Ellie gushed excitedly, a big smile gracing her lips.
"No salad, with extra ketchup," Jeremy said, "I've taken your order about three times, and I only remember pretty girls orders,"
"Who else's order you remember?"
"Only yours,"
"Before me?"
"There were about thirty girls," Ellie laughed, "Hey, I can like thirty girls. Doesn't mean they are into me,"
"Your such a dork,"
"So are you,"
The rest of the night went well, and the pair decided to continue dating. The night ended with the pair dancing in the rain the Lover by Taylor Swift, of which they had now claimed as their song.
