It was a day like any other in this town, the rain was pouring, thunder was roaring, but still no snow. People at the local cafe eating their breakfast and drinking their coffee. Cars driving by, occasionally causing water to splash up and hit other people walking. And then we have me, standing at the bus stop getting soaked my the rain. The bus arrives not even five minutes later, and I climb up the steps and walk to the back, my shoes squeaking on the floor the whole way. Once I sit down, the bus starts towards the school.
Once I step into the building, I get this incredibly weird feeling. I couldn't quite explain it, but it almost felt like I wasn't in control of my own body. It felt like I could've been possessed, but I wasn't. Everything else was normal. I could hear, and see what was going on around me, but I couldn't move. Then, after what felt like an eternity just standing there, I felt myself regain control, and I started walking down the hall towards my locker. I try to pull the door open, but it's stuck. I pull even harder, but it wouldn't budge. I pull with as much force as possible, but it seems as if it wasn't even stuck at all, and flies open, causing me to fall backwards.
"Hey!" I hear someone yell angrily.
I look up to see the worse person there could possibly be in this situation, Damion Thorne and his two sidekicks, Wolfe, and Felix. The school bullies. Although, Damion certainly wasn't cut out to be one. He reminded me of a pig. But everyone was afraid of him.
I roll my eyes and stand up, looking him in the eye, and I notice that his nose is bleeding. "What do you want, Thorne?" I ask, trying to keep my cool.
"You idiot!" He screeched. "Look what you did!" He pointed to his bloodied nose.
"It's not like I did it on purpose," I scoff. "Chill out."

"You little brat," he seethes, raising his fist getting ready to strike, but I beat him to it, and punch him right in the middle of his face, causing him to stumble backwards and get even angrier. At that moment, I wasn't in control of myself anymore. He raises his fist once again, but falls when I kick him In the gut. I kneel over him ignore all the other students gathering around us and recording while I kept hitting. I soon feel a pair of hands grab my shoulders and pull me up and away, and I watched Damion with his bloodied face and clothes get helped up by a few teachers as I stumbled through the crowd.

As soon as I felt I had gained control of myself again, I looked to see who was dragging me through the hall and saw my least favorite teacher, Mr. Feltch, his face red with anger and disappointment. I knew I was in huge trouble. I drown out his voice when he starts to yell at me and tell me that I was in big trouble, and that I would haven detention till I get to college. He pulls me I to the principal's office and pushes me into a seat, explaining to the principal what had happened, and insisting that I should be punished."Mr. Pierce, you know that we do not tolerate these type of things, I'm afraid I'll have to give you detention for a rather large amount of time, considering that this has happened many, many, times before." The Principal explains in a calm voice.
"Yeah, yeah, I get in. Tell me how long, I've gotta get to class." I told her, not bothering to avoid eye contact.
"Well," she sighs and looks at a piece of paper on her desk, scribbling something down. "The year ends in about four months, I think that will be just enough time for you to have learnt your lesson. You will stay for and hour after school ends every day up until the last. Am I clear?"
"Yep, sounds good. May I leave now?" I ask.
"Yes, I truly hope that this won't happen again. I know you're a good kid, Mr. Pierce, try not to let your anger get the best of you."
"Yeah, thanks for the advice," I tighten my lips and nod to her on my way out, rolling my eyes at nothing in particular.

At the end of the day, I head down to the detention room and, not much to my surprise, there are four other kids there, all sitting next to each other at the small desks lined up. One girl had long, blonde, almost white, hair, who was sitting next to a boy with short hair the same color as hers. Another girl had short red hair, and lots of freckles, and the last girl was darker-skinned, and had long, brown, braids.
When I open the door, all four of them look up at me and start whispering to each other. I choose to sit at the back of the class to try and avoid any conversation, and pull my headphones over my ears to make it look like I'm listening to something. Not long after I arrive, a teacher that I don't know walks in with a large box and sets it on one of the empty tables up front.
"Okay class," the teacher starts. "For the next few weeks, you will be doing a lot of decorating and planning, for you will be in charge of the winter dance! Sounds exciting, right?" She clasped her hands together, her smile faltering when everybody groaned and started to complain. "Well then, you're going to have to like it because you don't have a choice. Now, this box of filled with supplies to make decorations and such, you may start today. I expect you all to behave, and try to have fun." And with that, she left.
I stayed out with my head laid in my arms on the desk while other kids got up and started to look through the box, occasionally glancing at me and whispering something to one another. I ignored them, turned on some music, and closed my eyes.
