In the year 1967, weird things start happening. Blood, emotions, and flowers confuse the world, and cause people to panic. But what the world didn't know, is that the whole thing was planned, and will eventually turn into something worse.

"NOLAN PIERCE!" Is what I hear the second I get home. I shut the front door and start to run up the stairs, ready to stay in my room for the rest of the night, but it's too late. My mother grabs my arm and pulls me back down, dragging me through the living room and into the kitchen, pushing me down on one of the old wooden chairs at the table. "What we're you thinking!?" She yelled.
"It wasn't my fault," I mumbled.
"What do you mean it wasn't your fault?! You broke the poor child's nose! He's in the hospital because of you! My god, you're such a disappointment, I swear... why couldn't you just..." she continued to yell, but I drowned it all out again.
Before I knew it, my mother was gone, and I was sitting at the kitchen table with nothing but my thoughts. This always happens. I'll get in trouble for something I didn't start, and get punished for it. I wish I could just-
My thoughts were cut off by someone yelling from the living room. "Oh my god..!"
I roll my eyes and stand up, walking into the living room to see what was going on. When I walk in, I see my mother sitting in front of the TV on the couch, her face filled with shock and horror. "What is it?" I ask plainly.
She just shakes her head and points to the TV. I walk over and stand by her on the couch to see the TV, and the news was on, so I listened to the reporter who was at the local park.
*** "...either a terrible accident, murder, or possibly suicide has occurred. A man who is estimated to have been about 21 years of age, was found dead at 8:33 AM this morning at Ruby Hill Park, Denver, Colorado. The body was found headless, with a few flowers, sticking out of the neck. The flowers have been identified as yellow hyacinths, and the man is yet to be identified. The very gruesome scene is being investigated by the state police and will be taken into further investigation tomorrow. I give my condolences to this man's loved ones, and please, stay safe out there folks." ***
They then showed a picture of the scene, and sure enough, it was just what the woman had explained.
"Oh dear.." my mother said, leaning back in her seat.
How could they have done it theirselves if those damn flowers are in their neck? Fucking idiots." I mumbled to myself, then started towards the stairs and up to my room.
I sat at my desk, looking for something to do when I remembered a book that my father had given me a while ago. I opened up all of my drawers and searched for the book. Finally, I pulled it out of the bottom drawer and blew off some of the dust, reading the cover;
The Language of Flowers
I opened the book open and went to the index, searching for the yellow hyacinth. I finally found it and flipped to it's page. I skimmed over the page and stopped when I found something.

"Interesting..." I said to myself and continued to read the page.

The next day in detention
I sat at the back of the room again to try not to draw to much attention to myself, but alas, it didn't work this time. One of the kids from yesterday had came up to me. It was the girl with the long white hair.
"Hello," she said.
I looked up at her. She didn't look very friendly, but I tried to force a smile. "Hi" I said back.
"So, are you going to help today? Or just sit back here and do nothing?" She asked while sitting down on the desk in front of me.
I noticed that she had a very strong accent. Russian, maybe. "I'm fine back here, thanks."
"Well then, good luck with Mrs. Morley. If she finds out that you're just sitting around back here, you just get to stay here with us even longer," she shrugged.
"Do I really look like I care if I get in any more trouble?" I asked her.
"No, but, you have to join us. Maybe you'd have some fun, you never know."
"Thanks for the offer, but seriously, I'm good with staying here."
"Seriously...?" The girl scoffed and hopped off the desk, grabbed my arm and pulled me up and over to the table where the other kids were.
"I already told you, I don't want to help. Let me go." I told her, trying to pull myself away.
She quickly turned around, stopping me and grabbing my shoulder. "Listen, you will help us. Otherwise I just came over there and talked to you for nothing. Trust me, it makes me feel sad looking at you over there. Now come on." She grabbed my wrist again and continued to drag me to their table.
I rolled my eyes at her stubbornness, but give in and follow her, sitting in a seat next to another kid that I had seen yesterday. It was the boy with short, also white hair. Maybe him and the Russian girl are siblings, it sure looks like it.
I sort of just sat there awkwardly, not knowing what to do, when a pile of red papers, scissors, and a stapler was slid in front of me. I looked up and the boy that I sat next to was looking at me with a big, toothy grin.
"Hello," he said, but I ignored him. "I can tell you don't want to be here, but it's actually quite fun. I got a few things for you to start with, I can help if you'd like?" He said in a friendly tone.
"I don't need help, thanks." I replied blankly, gathering up the supplies and standing up, ignoring the boys sad-ish look and moving to a different table.
I really wish I wasn't here.
A/N Hello peoples, second chapter yesh. There's some crazy stuff going on 👀 also, I've got a question. Sooo I was thinking of doing a little side romance with two of the characters, and I need help choosing which ones :) I'll most likely introduce the rest of the characters in the next chap so you can kinda see what they're like. Thanks for reading!
