Awfully long packing sessions, a few all nighters and 3 painfully boring bus rides later Blue finds themself dragging their bags and boxes into their new home. Years of living with family or educational residences, all alone in the city or a campus whilst their best friend managed to move away to a quaint town, now they're here too.
"So this is Pelican Town...Robin seemed kind enough...can't say the same for Mayor Lewis."
Blue lets out a heavy sigh whilst brushing their chin length violet hair away from their face and pushing their crocodile coloured glasses up their face.
"BLUEEEEEEE!!!!!!!"
That's a voice they know all too well, followed by what sounds like someone sprinting for dear life. Before being able to respond or turn around fully they're tackled onto the ground in a hug.
"BLUEEEE!!! I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY MOVED TO PELICAN TOWN!!!"
Happily sobbing and clinging to the new villager was a chubby emo looking person with blue-ish black shoulder length hair, dark glasses and a nose piercing.
"Hey haha! C'mon quit the waterworks Ellis I missed you too...and could you maybe warn me before you tackle hug me dude? I think it made my back click in a bad way..."
After laughing and quickly scrambling to his feet Ellis nods.
"Sorry sorry!!! How have you been?! You look amazing as per usual bestie, look at you!! You look a lot happier than you did in that bastard city!!!"
Ellis helps Blue to their feet and circles around them with childlike curiosity, admiring their appearance as if they've never seen their best friend before. The lavender pinafore dress with cutesy pastel gothic prints on it contrasts the dark bell-cut mesh shirt underneath it. The cute heart shaped pastel pink choker compliments their pale blue skin in such a beautiful way and they have some cute sage earrings.
"Well thanks to the courses I took, I got away from my parents for a while so I could dress however...a pleasant change."
Ellis nods eagerly in agreement before hugging their best friend like their lives depended on it.
"I missed you so much...you have to start meeting everyone here! Or at least meet my friends...and uhm...and my boyfriend."
Blue glares at Ellis with squinted eyes before repeating.
"Boyfriend??"
Ellis giggles and nods once again before replying in excitement,
"Yeah my boyfriend, Sebastian...and our mini friendship group with Sam and Abby. A lot changed in those 3 years of not seeing you face to face...well in my social life anyways. Now I actually have a social life! Crazy, right?!"
Ellis giggles again and Blue can't help but laugh with her, finding out about such positive things happening in their friend's new life made them feel a mixture of emotions, mainly delight for their friends life changing from what it used to be.
"I guess I do have a lot of socialising to do, ay?"
Blue sighs and turns to the boxes and bags just left on the floor as Ellis lets go from their hug.
"Well let's focus on unpacking, I can text my love and the gang about introducing you, I'm sure Sam and Abby will be up for a newbie...Sebastian not so much. He is like me, he's awkward, except he's more like cold without meaning to be, I am just someone who won't shut up!"
The emo looks around at all the boxes and bags as the goth nods.
"I suppose...just make sure I get chance to relax before forcing me into a social scenario, 'kay dude?"
Ellis nods whilst pulling their phone out, texting someone for a split second before peeping at Blue.
"Let's get to work!!"
