Adrien's POV
I started to wake up when the sun reached my face. There wasn't much noise around me except for the small and quiet snores that escaped Y/n's lips. Some things just never change...this was one of them. She was curled up in a ball on the futon with the blanket up by her face wrapped around her fingers. I laughed softly at the sight and began to wonder how we would explain this to everyone. How I would explain to everyone that Y/n and I already know each other and that she was my childhood friend. I figure that Y/n and I will talk about it later.
I decided to get up and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. It was still really early and if Y/n was anything like she used to be... There would be no waking her up for at least another hour or so. I quickly put on my clothes from the day before and used, what I'm hoping is, Y/n's hair brush and ran it through my hair.
I walked back out of her bathroom to find her fast asleep still. A smile fell upon my face as I looked at her sleeping figure... she looked exactly like we did when we were kids as she snored quietly.
Before long, I decided to head over to the closest bakery and grabbed some breakfast for us to eat. I just hoped that she still loved chocolate croissants. The whole way there and then back to Y/n's I had a bright smile on my face. I was just so glad to have her back that nothing else seemed to matter in the world. It was like all of my worries just faded around her... she was always my best friend.
"Y/n... hey, why don't you try to wake up?" I shook her slightly after I placed the pastries on the other edge of the couch.
"Get your dirty paws off of me..." Y/n said with an annoyed tone that just caused me to laugh. She truly hadn't changed all that much and it was evident from how she still acted the same while being woken up.
"But I have a chocolate croissant for you... I guess I'll just have to eat it myself..." I said playfully as I grabbed the bag that held our pastries. She took immediate notice of the fact I had gotten her food and sat up almost instantaneously.
"Well, you could have led with that you know! I'm awake now," Y/n said as she yawned and rubbed her eyes to try to get rid of the tiredness. I was now laughing at the scene that had just played out as I handed her the croissant.
"Maybe but that wouldn't have been as much fun, now would it?" I was still laughing as I sat on the couch next to her and began to eat my croissant as well.
"You know... for someone who is so seemingly nice to others... that was rather cruel!" She said as she pushed me playfully and laughed. I laughed along with her as we enjoyed each other's company.
"Says you! Remember that one time you destroyed the moat surrounding my sandcastle?" I said as I pushed her back playfully while still laughing.
"Are you kidding me? I said it was an accident!" I could hear the playful annoyance in her voice as she rolled her eyes in amusement.
"Yeah... well... it still feels like it was just yesterday to me. Rest in peace my dear sand castle." I dramatically said as I took another bite of my croissant.
"You honestly should have become an actor and not a model with as dramatic as you are," Y/n chimed in with a small laugh as she finished her croissant.
"Whatever you say..." I rolled my eyes playfully as I fully relaxed on the couch. The lightness in the air was something I had missed about spending time with Y/n. She always made everything feel so easy and light-hearted. Nino, Alya, and Marinette were fun to be around but this... this felt different.
"In all seriousness, I should get ready for the day. I can walk you home afterward if you'd like?" Y/n said with a warm smile, one I was truly fond of, as she stood up from the couch.
