Y/n's POV
I was saddened to hear that my kwami's twin was the villain. Lulu would be devastated after I told her everything. We were both excited to maybe finally meet her other half.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Chat Noir asked with a look of concern on her face.
"Yeah! It just means I'll have to work harder to get my kwami's twin back!" I continued to smile at them. "I should get going though! I hope to see you both around though!"
"We'll see you around!" Chat Noir waved as I jumped in the sky and let my wings expand and flap gently. I waved back and began to fly away.
Chat Noir/Adrien's POV
"So what do you think bugaboo?" I turned to Lady Bug but she just sighed at the nickname and shrugged.
"I don't know if I'm being totally honest. What if she's working with Hawkmoth?" She stood at the edge of the building preparing to leave.
"If that was the case, do you think she would have been so hurt to know about Hawkmoth?" I walked up towards her.
"We'll see. Bye, Chat!" She jumped from where she was standing and left me there. She'll never see me as anything other than annoying Chat Noir, will she?
"Oh no! I forgot about Y/n!" I whisper shouted to myself. I couldn't believe I forgot already!
I quickly made my way back to Y/n's and entered through her bathroom window. I hope it didn't seem like I was in there too long.
Y/n's POV
I really hope he didn't think I was down here too long. I finally found my way back as I didn't fully remember the area just yet. I made my way up the stairs and found Adrien sitting on the futon scrolling through his phone. Thank god he was distracted.
"Sorry about that! I just wanted to make sure everything was locked up!" I said finding a spot next to him on the futon.
"You're okay! I was just playing a game on my phone," He said while turning his phone off.
"Good! I really missed you, Adrien."
"I missed you too! It hasn't been quite the same without you," He said as he took my hand in his again. "Are we going to talk about why you moved back all of a sudden?"
"I mean we can...it's just really not that awesome," I started to say. "My parents, as you know, were never the greatest. They eventually got arrested for drug possession and use. Once they were arrested they were also able to be convicted of some other things."
"What other things, if you don't mind me asking?" Adrien asked, still holding my hand.
"I'm not sure you want to know," I said pulling my hand away and facing away from him. I was suddenly feeling very exposed.
"Y/n, I want to know everything, if you're willing to tell me. You're still my best friend and I care about you a lot," he said placing his hand on my shoulder instead and turning me to face him. I was nearing tears now as I didn't talk about this part very often.
"It was bad...they...um...hit me. A lot. I had a lot of broken bones during the time I was in America. They always just played it off like I was a clumsy kid, which was true to an extent. They got away with it for so long," I wasn't crying until Adrien pulled me in for a hug. I had forgotten how comforting his hugs were. They always made me feel better, even in the worst of times.
"You'll always have me and I'll always protect you from now on! You have my word," Adrien finally released me from the hug and he wiped away my tears.
"Thank you, big cat. Say, how about we get you something more comfortable to wear? I think my uncle left has some extra clothes here from when he was younger and my grandpa used to own the place. Hopefully, they're not too outdated for the model!" I said trying to brighten the aura around us.
"Honestly, I'll take anything over the jeans I have on!" He began to laugh at my comment.
"Okay, I'll be right back!" I got up from the futon and entered another room with a box full of clothes. I grabbed some sweatpants and a plain tee shirt for him to wear. I couldn't imagine it would be comfortable for him to sleep in his current clothes.
I walked back into my room and handed him the clothes. He said a quick 'thank you' before entering the bathroom to change. I also let him know that I had a spare toothbrush that he could use to brush his teeth. While I waited, I pulled out grey shorts and a loose white tee shirt for me to sleep in. I waited for him to exit the bathroom so I could go in there and change.
"Hey, thanks for the clothes again!" Adrien said as he stepped out of the bathroom. He looked as dashing as always even in some worn-down clothes. It was nice to see him look so relaxed.
"Of course! I just hope they're not too out of date for the fashion model!" I started to laugh as I spoke.
"As long as no one alerts the press I think it should be fine." He began to laugh as well. "Honestly though, it's actually more comfortable than I thought it would be!"
"Good! I'll be right back" I said before I entered the bathroom. I quickly changed into my pajamas and brushed my teeth. I exited the bathroom to find Adrien sitting on the futon and on his phone again.
"So what do you want to do now? If you're tired we can go to bed or if you're up for it maybe we could watch a movie? My uncle knows how much I hate waking up so he usually opens the store so I can sleep in," I said as I rummaged through the closet to find some more blankets.
"I'm down to watch a movie! Can we watch your favorite?" He practically begged. I handed him one of the blankets that I grabbed and sat down next to him with mine.
"You want to watch 'I Am Legend'? When I lived in America I grew really fond of this actor, Will Smith, and his movies are amazing!" I started to get super excited. I loved this movie to bits and pieces and I showed it to just about anyone who would let me...so long as they'd never seen it before.
"We can watch whatever you want Ms. Sunshine," He said and pulled me closer to him. It wasn't weird at all for us. In fact, as kids, we often ended up falling asleep on each other since we would often wear each other out during the day. I couldn't help but get butterflies in my stomach this time though. Adrien had always been a cute kid but he was becoming quite handsome. It was hard not to notice his attractiveness.
"This is why you're my favorite big cat," I said quickly while trying to distract my mind. I got the tv turned on and pulled up the movie as I had previously bought it on Amazon Video.
Adrien wrapped his arm around my shoulder, keeping me close to him as the movie started and I laid my head on in the crook of his neck. I couldn't help but notice how he smelt of lavender and chamomile. It was a sweet scent that I had missed about him. It was starting to finally feel like I was home. I couldn't be happier than I was now to have him back in my life. Eventually, Adrien started to play with the ends of my hair causing me to relax even more.
My eyelids began to get heavy halfway through the movie but I was honestly too comfortable to move. Instead, I let my eyes close as I drifted into a deep sleep.
Adrien's POV
About halfway through the movie, I could feel Y/n's head get heavier on my shoulder and I could hear tiny snores leaving her lips. I still couldn't believe that she was back. It hadn't dawned on me just how much I missed her over the years. I let the movie continue to play as I twirled the ends of her hair around my fingers. She's become even more beautiful than I remembered. The way her eyes lit up when she was excited and the way her smile curved up when she was happy were all still the same but there was something undeniably different about her presence.
I eventually started to feel my eyes get heavy too as the movie started to near the end. Unfortunately, I was certain that I would fall asleep before the movie finished so I laid Y/n down on the futon gently and wrapped her blanket around her fully. I debated staying on the futon as well but ended up deciding that it would be best if I grabbed another pillow from off of her bed and fell asleep on the rather comfortable floor. It wasn't long after that I began to fall asleep too.
