One thing I have noticed about Remus over the past year is that he gets sick a lot.

Or, he says he does.

I for one, have another theory, although I would never tell anyone, just in case it did turn out to be true.

I think he may be a werewolf.

He is always tired leading up to the full moon, and he is never in class on the day of it, and the day after it, he is always in the hospital wing, "not feeling well".

Today is one of the days where he's stuck in the hospital wing, so the boys and I head down to visit him after breakfast.

When we arrive, it seems like he's just woken up.

He notices us walk in, as does Madame Pomfrey. I wave at her as I take a seat next to Remus.

"Good morning, Rem," I say.

"Morning, N/n," He yawns.

"I brought you this," I tell him, handing him a bar of chocolate that he takes gratefully.

"How're you feeling?" Sirius asks.

"Awful, if I'm being honest," Remus responds.

"That sucks, mate...Hopefully you'll be feeling better tomorrow, cuz Sirius and I have come up with a new prank for Snivellus!" James says, making me roll my eyes.

Remus has a similar reaction as James and Sirius launch into full explanations, while I occasionally interject with the things I came up with to help it run smoother.

Remus and I are the logic while James and Sirius are the executors, and Peter....Peter is the henchman.

We sit and talk together for a few hours before James, Sirius, and Peter leave to go work on the plan.

"Y/n, you coming?" Sirius calls

"No, go ahead without me," I tell him.

"Suit yourself,"

"You could have gone with them, you know," Remus tells me.

"I know, but I didn't want to. I wanted to talk to you," I say.

"About?"

"About why you're in here so often,"

"What do you mean? I'm sick, I get bad headaches," He says, worried.

I glance around the hospital wing, noticing that we're the only people in here, even Madame Pomfrey is back in her office.

"Remus, are you a werewolf?" I ask, ripping off the bandage.

His face pales even more than it already was, and he says "Wh- what are you talking about, of course not!"

"Remus, you can be honest with me, I'm not going to judge you. We're best friends and nothing could change that," I tell him.

"You promise?" He asks.

"I pinky promise," I tell him, sticking my pinky out for him. He gently links his pinky in mine for a brief moment.

"I am...a werewolf, that is," He says, looking like he's close to tears.

"How long?" I ask.

"Since I was six," He tells me.

I grab his hand in mine, gently holding it.

I notice a few tears slip down his cheeks, and he quickly wipes them off his face.

"How'd you figure it out, anyway? You didn't tell anyone else, did you?!"

"I used common sense to figure out when it was that you were always disappearing, and no, of course I didn't tell anyone else, not even the boys," I tell him.
